I agree with disclosing names.
It helps those that are far away to know whether their friends or family members are missing or not otherwise people are left to speculate and worry unnecessarily if no information is giving at all.
This should cut down on the massive number of people trying to get in touch to find out.
Also, if a name is on the list, then people who are close to the person may be able to give useful information as to the whereabouts that person might be since they may know their routines and the places they often go at certain times.

And as a demise, it is public information.
