Mystery man donates bags of cash to local schools in Nara

The money is now in the hands of the Nara City Board of Education, where they will use it for educational activities at the schools.

I sure hope they make honest use of the money, and not find a way to just fill some board member's pockets, like giving a family member a contract to build playground equipment or buy new computers from a relative's store.

Generosity which does not crave recognition is real generosity.

It's good to hear that it's not all bullying and family killings. Although the Covid part should be the government's responsibility, he shouldn't need to help there.

If that is the case, I support this type of tax evasion. Especially if the donation are for public schools and other public services.

If this was donated to a private entity then yes, I would agree and perhaps should be done through formal procedures.

Whatever the man’s motives were, fingers crossed the money gets used to benefit the children in Nara city, and that it will inspire other wannabe Tiger Masks to pick up the alter-ego (or any alter-ego, really!) and continue the kindness chain.

How sad it would be to live in this person's mind. And, as a representative of those who have nearly passed nearly through the veil of consciousness heading for the "Great Return" to where we all come from, things look a bit different. What is 'he' going to do with the money? He has 'enough'. He doesn't have a secret room where he goes and rolls around in his money nor is money the centre of his life. He's on his way out and doing this gives him great joy. THAT'S ALL. The joy. He, to him, is doing the best he can, to him, to help US ALL, in his mind, because, as odd as it may sound, old folks think about HUMANITY'S future more than anyone. Not ALL old people, but those for whom and in spite of all pain and grief and unhappiness still feel fortunate to have been here and thankful for the 'good fortune' to have survived all that so many they have seen have not, thankful just for the 'adventure' itself. When you get old, gratefulness does not seem 'strange' to you. Nor do you require 'recognition' because you already know what a crock that generally is and, having lived an independent life, never felt the need for overt appreciation when you acted simply as a decent Human being. Kudos to this man, whether he wants them or not, and sadness for those who doubt his motivations based on their own deeply implanted perceptions of Human behavior. It is only in Corporate mentality that 'giving money away' is behavior worthy of institutionalization and one has to pay for altruism...but many Humans are just 'mindless altruists', what can ya do...?

Anyway, to get the right education or be an educated person is not a question of money. So it’s nice that he gave his money (if it is really was his, as it theoretically could also stem from drugs, yakuza, crimes , scams or a family/ heritage twist etc.) to those schools, but it won’t really help so much there and also widens the gap to other schools that are not gifted.
