OMG, so there's going to be a pile of North Korean made junk flying right over us? Don't they always fail miserably whenever they launch something? so who knows where that thing is going to land this time?? scary...

i just hope that the things can fly!

Certainly an improvement over the previous missile test that flew over Japan. It would be in the best interest to all that DPRK makes sure that Japan is notified of the trajectory of the flight. Anything to reduce tensions in the immediate region would be welcome. No launch would be preferable, but that option doesn't seem to be in the cards.

Not in the best interest of all, and there are those who have no clue what is in their best interest.

NK's warnings are not appreciated in the slightest. In fact, until a few days ago, this was labeled as a "threat". Our press and our politicians most certainly do not view these warnings as being in their best interest, unless they can spin them a certain way.

Then we have certain posters who just jump into the fight swinging, because the apparently just love a good fight, and have little concept of best interests.

Well, if North Korea is anything like South Korea when it comes to stating false performance specs to boost sales (in this case fear), assume that the damn thing will either blow up on the launch pad or fizzle into the Sea of Japan. Unless, it turns into a cruise missle and flies along the Sea of Japan at under 30 metres altitude like a head hunting piece of junk and takes out a Japanese coastal city. This of course would not be good!

waa waa North Korea just wants attention from the new daddy obama

fear, is the name of north korea's game.

They've done this before, launch a missile over Japan that is, with little criticism or fallout from the Japanese government. As noisy as the folks in Hiroshima get every August you'd think they would be up in arms over tests like this... but then again, if it's not America, why bother.

Please pull out a map and tell us a better direction NK should point its missiles and rockets. Keep in mind that polar orbits are not all that useful for most purposes.

How about over your house. You don't seem to have a problem with it. It would be a win-win situation for both you and NK.

Sounds good Super. Having NK aim for over my house is probably the best guarantee that my house will be completely missed.

Frankly, I am more worried about all the helicopters and low flying aircraft where I live.

I hope Japan shoots this satellite down. Korea is a rogue state that need to stop firing rockets and start feeding it's people.

Japan just announced they will be the first to shoot down the satellite. As expected, Japan wants to borrow this reason to initiate a full scale war. Wonder if the US is prepared for this. Bush is linked to Iraq and Afghanistan, maybe Obama will go down history as the president who wiped out North Korea.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Nope the President who wiped out North Korea was dear leader Monchichi and his father. North Korea is a rogue state and needs to be treated as such.

Too bad our dear friends in China can not control their puppet any better. If they had maybe he would not be bringing Korea to the brink of war.

Only good thing that will come from this is the removal of article 9.

They shouldn't be pointing missiles and rockets in any direction. At least not until no one is starving in their country and they become economically viable. This is a case of the crazed homeless guy waving a gun around.

How assinine. Sure, Japan is kind-controlling the North Koreans to shoot a missle over them, right? since you obviously don't read the news, the ONLY country that has been openly talking about initiatying a full scale war (with South Korea) is North Korea.

I really hope Japan shoots it down. Or we can shoot it down. Whoever. Hell, if any country shot something like this over US territory not only would we shoot it down but we'd probably take out their launch pads to ensure that they won't do it again. Either way, hope this scares Japan into reality and trash that Article 9 and get with the program.

You sure don't seem to see the logic here. If Japan shoots down the satellite it is only Japan who has everything to lose from this. Sure NK will inevitably suffer defeat but only after when we see a few Japanese cities flatten by nukes.

The USA is the most qualified candidate to do the shooting--simply because NK will take time to attack the USA mainland.

Logic? There's no logic at all in what you're suggesting. Do you really think for a moment that North Korea would commit suicide by "flattening a few Japanese cities"? Are you aware that an attack on Japan triggers an automitic retaliation by the United States? And if North Korea launches any nukes at Japan they will receive the same tenfold from the bigget and most powerful nuclear power on Earth? Japan, or the US for that matter ought to shoot it down. The launch is in violation of a UN resolution and North Korea can't do anything about it other than raise their blood pressure as usual.

All this talk of nukes coming from a whinning baby seeking attention is pure crap. IF NK had a nuke then there would be trouble and I'm sure they don't because the U.S. didn't fly off the handle and attack them already. Oh, Iraq was for other reasons I guess and Iran could have been next but I guess there was no nuke there either.

NK needs to be taken out by China and spanked silly. I think it's high time that China steps up to the table and takes care of their loud-assed barking dog! China supplied NK at the start and now needs to end the suffering of its people by taking off the head off that evil dog!
