New amphibious bus tour launched in Tokyo Bay

It looks like it would capsize if a strong gust of wind blew against it, or if some of the passengers moved to the other side in order to take pictures... imagine a bus load of supersized persons from the UK or US...

This is no duck boat in Boston. Is it sea worthy? Look at listing right. Ticket is takai....Hmm not sure. I want to see the hull.

Reminds me of "Singapore Duck Tour", which was also around 3000JPY.

Although Tokyo scares me, I also love it. Apart from Robot Cafe and live music at the Cotton Club, my most memorable experience was a water cruise. It is a great way to view the city for about 1500yen.

Full of people it does look a little top-heavy.

(Only two or three of these have sunk in the UK I believe.)

3,500 for 45 min of....well nothing much really, is asking a bit much. Can't see local folk using this much.

I guess they are doing what all major cities do. Hit the tourist.

They've had amphibious bus tours in Osaka for years.

No links, no info on starting/finishing points, does travel on both land & water or just water.....................

It isn't about the tour, it is about the experience. Sort of like gondolas of Venice which cost 3-7 times higher.

Seen the bus around the place already, pretty expensive ticket price.
