Myopic, nit-picking and unphilosophical inspite of his namesake.

A sushi restaurant in Haneda Airport is one of the best: fresh and delicious yet affordable.

In order to understand how U.S. Air Base Yokota's RAPCON constrains air traffic for inbound and outbound commercial aircraft at Haneda, click open "Yokota Airspace" (http://dmcr.web.fc2.com/).

@Tom: It's been a long time planning and will be used for sure. Not only does it relieve congestion in the air, on some flights shortens time in the air - saving fuel, lowering pollution. Traffic will return.

What planes will fly it? Hasn’t the author realized that there is an issue currently with planes not flying? Corona? Wake up!

But until now flight paths passed only over Tokyo Bay, partly because a large portion of airspace over Tokyo and surrounding areas is controlled by the U.S. military.

It always makes me feel strange that people don't think there's something wrong with Japan-U.S. security relations, taking it for granted that the U.S. Forces Japan can make free use of much of Japan's airspace, not only over Tokyo but in many parts of Japan.

It's my favorite airport in all of Japan. Just wish they'd improve and extend the monorail.
