They haven't a clue, a real Laurel and Hardy. Where is the apology?

A new one? Lovely. Nope, no problems here folks. You should be able to move back home soon...
Unreal. Do these idiots have a clue as to what they are doing? It seems not.

Wait - groundhog day moment here. Isn't this essentially word for word the same article as, what, yesterdays, particularly this:
which is particularly unreassuring as, in the grand scale of things and considering that radioactive water must go somewhere, the sea would be the best place?
On one hand, it is nice that TEPCO has begun to publicize problems promptly; on the other hand, analysis (and whether this comes from TEPCO or from the newswriters themselves) is sorely lacking.

"Some radioactive water leaked" can anyone clarify 'some'? Last week it was 120 tons (12,000 liters). This week it is 'some'? Is 'some' more or less than the previous 12,000 liters? This is really going beyond a joke! Even the cleanup of Chernobyl was better organized than this bloody shambles!

"But it said the contaminated water was unlikely to flow into the sea..."
Yeah, right. That'll be reported within the week. And yet still they're allowed to bungle everything up with no reprimands or consequences.

The leak has developed the stutters, Leak ,Leak, Leak, More leaks. Sorry has never stoped leaking ever.

Again? I am sure that we will have this kind of news for rest of our life here in Japan. Where is the great nuclear industry with scientists? These are serious accidents overshadowed by 311. If this happened in Europa it would be great scandal.

"Shouganai"...
It cannot be helped; there is nothing that can be done.

I think at this rate there would be less reports if they did one for everyday without a major setback....
While I imagine the probably under resourced and ill-prepared people actually on the ground are doing their best there seems to be nothing but incompetence in the management. How do these failures keep on happening?

More like taking a drop of beer out of a beer keg - no noticeable decline in the level of beer.

It will probably reach the sea eventually, travelling through the groundwater layer. What is probably meant is "unlikely to reach the sea anytime soon".
The problem is that analysis takes time. As for newswriters doing analysis, I don't think that happens greatly here in Japan.

it must be really hard to work there. im a plumber. a water leak is something normal. And if the world is concerned. Go and send some workers to help down there. If so.eone wanta to help send 250,000 tons tanks with generatora hoses and pumps. that would help.

Anyone spent the time reading the insurance docs? Very revealing. Keep on believing people.

What will be next?
kurisupisu
The contaminated water is 'extremely' contaminated.

Again? Oh sorry. That should read "Again" I believe the appropriate word is...shogunie or some such word delivering a feeling of warmth in the face of pathetic incompetence and failure that results in a knock on effect that may result in birth defects or a prolonged death from cancer, or these DEATHS might be the result of diet...think shoganie pretty much covers it. The government is TRYING it's best in the face of facts to do a good job.
