Just got home from the gym (8:50pm) and it's cold out there. It feels great!

Chris, the snows in the mountains south of the historic town of Izumo in Shimane Prefecture have been pretty intense, too. I've seen major snowfalls on parts of the JR West Kisuki Line.

In short, this plus the blizzard conditions mentioned in the article could portend a very snowy winter in most of Japan.

I wish for a safe snow fall, reminds me of home in Canada, anywhere with snow works for me, just in time for Christmas

Started snowing here on the west shore of Biwako around 20.00. Has been very strong force winds all day but luckily the wind has now dropped.
