Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of safety checks have been regularly skipped over the years throughout Japan's nuclear industry.
What is different about this one? :sigh:

Just amazing, isn't it? That falsifying safety documents is not a violation of the law. This point should be hammered into the heads of every news viewer until they realize fully that public safety is not necessarily a legal issue, it is about cozy deals and conventions largely beneficial to large corporations. There is a law though - loads of them - for the coffee shop owner and the hair stylist and every other small business, you can be sure of that.

Not the first time for falsified documents, TEPCO was caught out on that one and recently the IAEA stated their emergency and safety document for it Niigata plant was just not good enough in post Fukushima.

PUNISH THEM ffs. Or this will keep going on and on and on and on, until its too late. Seriously, the shouganai attitude is making my blood boil.

"Chugoku Electric President Tomohide Karita expects the incident may make it harder to gain the consent of local residents to eventually restart the nuclear plant, a Chugoku spokesman told Reuters on Wednesday."
Good thing the people in charge of this nation don't give one iota about what the people think -- already they've just approved another NPP for reactivation despite this PROOF that the industry is third-world in its reality of practices, and it's coverups.
"“It is not a violation under law, so I don’t think we would take legal action,”
So, falsified documents by regulators on the safety of nuclear reactors and waste is not against the law, but not 'culturally acceptable' (even though clearly it is), eh?
Shame on this nation for allowing this to happen and not MAKING it law!

Profits before safety yet again. The old boys clubs need to be destroyed.

No, let's not take legal action. Let's continue to screw the public and ignore safety regulations that are easy to circumvent anyway.

If that isn't a joke, I don't know what is...

Only in Japan.

Only in Japan. Japanese attitude remains at Eido's stage sometimes.

This is why Sendai and other power plants MUST NOT BE RE-STARTED!

"..establish measures to prevent a recurrence" hopefully means we will fix this and do all the safety checks and not "we will be consistent in our lies".

C'mon guys - it's not as if a Chernobyl is going to happen!

It is all about money!

These swines! Someone falsifying a report, then the company HIDING it!
Ooops! Scratch that last part: the company reported it!
What good folks!

Safety check of low level nuclear waste is just tools and disposables used in nuclear handling. They dont pose risks to people.
