Um, if America weren't in Okinawa Asia would be much different and more dangerous place? As in, there'd be a war within 5 years or so? Is this not clear to anyone but me?

Ok. Not that big of a deal, but then...

Protests were planned in Tokyo and there were no official ceremonies in Okinawa.

Sounds to me like Okinawa DIDN'T mark the anniversary.

"Um, if America weren't in Okinawa Asia would be much different and more dangerous place? As in, there'd be a war within 5 years or so? Is this not clear to anyone but me?" Dude, say that to people of Iraq, who have terracts every single day. They bow there heads and put on smiles while dying of bombs, saying: god bless US for peace and democracy that they brought to us
