I find it funny how the single surname law completely falls apart when it comes to international marriages. If your law becomes unenforceable the minute someone marries a foreign spouse, it's probably time to scrap the law for everyone.

Yes, but international marriages don't count. We are merely an addendum on the family register.

In Yamaguchi prefecture, firstborn daughter becomes househead and her husband will be adopted and they marry when time comes. Example:Nobusuke Kish from Satoh family. Kish family adopted Abe's brother Nobuo.
