First class service!

Well worth the wait, no doubt. And what a feeling it must have been, to be the only person (plus guide) to walk through the ruins. This is a nice story.

Let's hear more of these stories to get through this very trying 2020. The spectacular Machu Picchu is a place absolutely worth waiting for, but I hope some well-heeled Peruvians will also chip in to reward him for his patience and give him a send-off to remember.

Appropriate name, Mr High Mountain !

Ah..that's the kind of story that needs to be told. He must have wished and wished and wished...and it came true

What an unique experience, lucky Takayama san!
Glad to see Peru reopening it slowly and with measures in place!

It is a huge lot of time to wait for, but at least he got a unique memory out of the trip.

I am glad for this person, for sure he enjoyed from early morning to late afternoon Machu Picchu, one of the most beautiful and magic place of the world!
I also hope Peruvian authorities used those 7 months to clean up the Machu Picchu from the stupid tourists writing their name on rock and so on....

7 months stuck in a foreign country. The hotel bill alone is definitely is not something i want to see when i check out. Must be hard covering your expenses for that long.

The place must meant a lot to him.

Machu Picchu is an amazing place. A visit, especially being their for sunrise, is awesome. Glad he got to see it. Highly recommended. South America is full of special places and good people (with a few not-so-nice people like everywhere else).
He got to see and meet lots of Peruvian people, I hope. They are amazing, kind, and have a great culture. Just watch out for some of the rural food ideas. ;) I'm not a fan of eating pet rodents, but maybe that's just me.

Looked like he was camping and Peru costs aren't too much if you live like a local. There are lots and lots of backpacker hostels for cheap there. Found a hostel in Aguas Calientes for $10/night online, so I bet he could work a deal for cleaning and $5/night or less if staying long term.

Glad to see a simple act of kindness.

Cool.
Fighto!
Sorry to say, but I cannot think of a scarier country to be trapped in for 7 months. Peru so far has the worst death rate in the entire world at 1008 deaths per million.
I am shocked the tourist was not willing or able to get out of the place in 7 months. Unbelievable.
