Would an antivaxxer who theoretically caught corona (I sincerely hope this would never happen) refuse such medicine? Would the "my body, my whatever" still apply? Curious to know.

The "my body my choice" should always apply, so it should always be the decision of the vaxxer or antivaxxer.

so millions of unvaccinated people who got COVID recovered. So I would do whatever was done for them.

One problem with both the Pfizer and Merck drugs is that they are very pricey and they must be taken early, before people feel very sick.

The Ministry of Health Labor and Welfare has already approved the oral drug molnupiravir, developed by U.S. pharmaceutical company Merck & Co in December.

I watched the FDA expert panel discussion on molnupiravir. In one trial, it was actually slightly less effective than placebo and it appears to be mutagenic (against DNA) and carcinogenic....

For some reason, the FDA chose to not hold an expert panel discussion for the Pfizer drug! So all we really have are Pfizer's press releases.

I hope some independent researchers will investigate the safety and effectiveness of both drugs.

If people all around me took it and didn’t get better and I saw it doesn’t work then no I wouldn’t.

I would be worried about possible side effects of something that doesn’t work. You can also just stop taking a pill if you don’t like the side effects.

These are the same people that sent contaminated "Vaccine" to Okinawa; with Stainless Steel fragments in it.

drug's purchase is expected by the end of January, aiming for its approval in February.

So no unnecessary delay for these pills unlike vaccines that being delayed because Japanese think that Japanese is different so several steps is needed for approval

I hope the pill is available so that we don't need to go to the hospital to get a shot. That's just not fun.
