Amazing skills and if that makes hey happy then good! But I think a little too young to be butchering.

Fugu is not delicious, it's a brag for wealthy businessmen and greasy politicians. Like going out for some whale.

I’m not a fun of consuming puffer fish but I am beyond impressed with Tabira’s skills at such a young age.

Never tasted it.

I just love this story. Especially in an age when many kids seem to be glued to their phones.

I prefer it fried, that's the best. Yum!

Fugu? No thanks, I'm not a fan of playing a version of Russian roulette when I eat something.
OssanAmerica
Disagree with that analogy. Whale tastes like meat. Fugu tastes like whatever you happen to dip it in.

Not sure I would trust a 10 years old with my life, let's all be honest here.

She's supervised by a licensed adult. No way any restaurant allows a 10yrs old even if licensed to prepare blowfish by themselves. That toxin is deadly and there's no antidote.

Ok, for starters; whale meat is cheap. Go to a wholesale type supermarket in Chiba or Fukushima, or Miyagi, and you’ll see that whale meat is half the price of the cheapest beer per/gram.
Fugu, is considered a commoner’s delicacy, and is pretty mid-range, when it comes to sushi prices.
Before you hate, investigate.

My apologies, beef; not beer. I guess I’ve had a few too many.

That is very impressive...
...though I'd be a little nervous to watch this, supervised or not.
I think the governor was only doing the eating here.

Fugu, to me, tastes good. It's a subtle flavor for sure, but I liked it. I didn't eat it for bragging rights, but for the chance to try it. I wish I could go back to Japan for the food, period, but if the opportunity came up, I'd eat the fugu. . .for the flavor. That's just me. I can see why many don't want to.

Oh, I forgot to mention that this is quite an achievement. I would have never even thought of someone so young being able to do this. Imagine what a good sushi chef she will be at 20.
