Those plastic shields don't shield against anything! Should be banned.

This may lead to crowds gathering................not the best of ideas.

"Especially now, the spread of the coronavirus isn't stopping, people have lost their jobs ... I think this is a period where people are really suffering a lot," Asazuma, 37, who works as a freelance event emcee and presenter, told Reuters. "We want to deliver a smile to cheer people up. We're doing this hoping that people can feel even a little bit better."

They should win awards for empty gestures. And whenever you have girls with short skirts in Japan like at comic conventions you get a scrum of geek photogs. Not the best idea in this situation with infections exploding.

I like that!

It shows that it makes no sense and that it is no help to be stucked in an ultraparanoia whole full of panic sheering and fear mongering.

Cheering up is important!

Cheer up the people is what helps.

Tearing everyone down by fear mongering dont help anyone.

If their dances are anything like the JPOP Idols the I'm sure I could don one of my Mrs skirts and do a better routine with no practice.

Yea, yea, I too can understand appreciation for babe watching.

Esp in uniforms for the men in trains. And hey it's a pandemic

rager, after 8pm, those trains won't pack themselves...

Why not give it their all, right.

But then I hear, "panic sheering and fear mongering?"

What the hell are you on? Must be some pretty hard stuff.

Isnt it obvious? People need tests, they need cash in hand.

They get paid and real value for their hard earned tax dollars and

therell be more cheer in these streets than you can shake your moneymaker at,

I can guarantee you that much.

So uh, tear downs and fear mongers, hey? Just- how about you sharing some of that…

whatever it is your smoking there bud?

Yeah, get people to bunch together in SL広場. Nice one.

I think this is a period where people are really suffering a lot," Asazuma, 37

Japanese men lusting after a 37 year old woman and taking smartphone photos of her should be openly encouraged (!)

The article also says that Asazuma san is also a freelance event MC. That probably means she had near zero income in 2020. I would happily bet money on her having a larger drop in income and getting less government support than all the bars and izakayas they interview on the news.

There are to many key board worriers on here this morning down thumbing, what's wrong with 4 ladies bringing a smile to commuters faces in this depressing miserable time? keep at it ladies, keep going!

Yikes, maybe keep your idol following and private night time activities to yourself. No expat should be allowed to watch J idols

Pointless, empty gesture that doesn’t give me cheer. And those plastic chin guards offer no protection from the virus to the wearer or anyone in the vicinity, yet everyone on telly is wearing them. Setting a really bad example and does not take Covid rules seriously.

Why does Japan use food prep sneeze guards, they don't protect anyone including the wearer!

Beautiful looking JukuJo with nice smiles and cheering people up, but it sure is cold out there.

I hope they wear real masks after their performances.

kudos, if this brightens up the day, then why blow raspberries?

Cheering people up is wonderful so long as they also encourage social distancing practices while doing so

Oh, yes! There’s nothing like having underaged teenage girls jump around in short skirts to lift the spirits of the working class men albeit somewhat immoral.

As an ex-Commuter, having an area of my route fenced off, is damn annoying - I wouldn't care even, if these girls were dancing stark naked beckoning me to join them in a mad orgy ... I still need to get to Work on-time!, and they're blocking my way! WTF... Very Annoying. Stupid promotion, and for those commuters who stand and watch these "dancers" ... I hope their Companies decide that those Employees are not committed to their employment as many others who are without work, would be!

What a waste of space, my time, and their effort!
