Actually, the waters around Indo are full of coconuts, so it's not that unusual up there. Still fortunate though.

Survival knife with a corkscrew attachment. Yes, I see those all the time on divers.

The survival knife with a cork screw attachment might have been how they were able to drink from the coconut... One possible explanation perhaps.

Thanks for the info ! (I am NOT a diver ! More of a "mountaineer" - as an ex-ski instructor).

Wow... opening a coconut while in the open waters is impressive. I join the others in saying that I hope the instructor is found alive.

Diver's knife is the most likely way - I am sure that all or most were carrying one as it is essential gear if you get tangled in kelp or dirft fishing line....

I was thinking exactly the same thing ! Also, how did they "open" it ? I haven't had any coconut "milk" in a long time but I seem to remember them being particularly hard to "open".
I'm so glad for those who were found and just hope today will bring back Mr. Sembah's wife.

A coconut drifting in the sea, what a luck.

I pray that the last diver can be found..

Good luck Mr. Sembah.

I'd like to blame the guy in the boat ... yeah its all his fault.
Oh wait a minute ....

A happy ending for five. I hope the other is found alive and safe. I feel for the family and friends that lost their daughter, sister, friend...

It's an amazing story, I admire their courage and determination. My fingers are still crossed for that guy to find his wife today.
