The Saitama prefectural board of education has set up a third-party investigative body to look into why two girls tried to commit suicide at a school in separate incidents.
The decision comes after two female students at a middle school in Tsurugashima City jumped from the same school building in March and April.
According to an NHK report, the first incident occurred in March when a second-year middle school girl flung herself from the fourth floor toilet bathroom window at Tatsunishi Middle school. In April, a third year middle school girl, jumped from a toilet window located on the second floor of the same school building. Both girls survived, but sustained severe injuries, breaking bones in their legs and back.
The investigative body will look into the circumstances leading up to the two events, whether the students were actually being bullied, if their teachers, other students and family knew anything about it.

Bullying is standard here. Not looking for an individual's happiness.

A shift in family structure has removed children from the elderly, the traditional authority figures, and fewer siblings means less interpersonal experience for children. Teachers have a tendency to judge students one-sidedly from an academic standpoint.

Bullying is not understood well in Japan. I've seen teachers and parents bully students. More education and discussion is definitely needed by schools and parents to make youth more resilient and confident with themselves.
Thats because its a way of life. You wrote it yourself you said you seen teacher and parents, bully students I have seen office mates bully co-workers! With that said go figure it out!!

Felt like offing myself several time in college. Each semester love notes were sent out from my university email account... or someone modified my financial aid so that I didn't get any... and deregistered me from all my classes. I hope the ones who did these things burn in hell!
