I'm not sure that Tooth Fish Wars has the same ring as Whale Wars. Maybe this the chance for Sea Sheppard to sink back into the abyss of obscurity where they belong.

Ever notice how Sea Sheppard only takes up causes in areas that allow them to act outside the law? They break so many international maritime laws that if they operated in waters where there were patrol ships, they would be hauled off to prison and the key tossed. Now they are going to take their boats back to the Antarctic and sabotage boats and equipment and risk the lives of fishermen fishing for toothfish. They are not about the conservation of any species, they are about committing violent and dangerous acts in the name of conservation. Their whole operational plan is based on violent confrontation. All you have to do is watch one of their videos to see how they revel in the violence and their disregard for the safety of the boats they are harassing.

Ever notice how some folk make up all kinds of stuff about Sea Shepherd?

Operation Pacuare, to protect sea turtle nests in Costa Rica, does not act outside the law.

Opposition to the shark cull in Australia involved no illegal action by SS.

SS works in partnership with the local police in the Galapagos Islands to protect local wildlife from illegal poachers and to teach local schoolchildren the importance of protecting the marine environment.

Riffraff, Sea Shepherd might be a bunch of pirates, but technically so was Sir Frances Drake. So long as they are on the right side, I approve of their piracy. All these impotent organizations totally failing to stop poaching should be financing Sea Shepherd. Forget their ulterior motives. They are pirates. But they are our pirates!

Yes, it's all they have.

The science of marine biology contradicts the 'propagana' these industrial fishing factory lobbyists infest conservative media with. Wilfully blind 'team reactionaries' in support just oppose current science out of fear of change.

Even dire warnings from climate and earth scientists of global warming with subsequent climate change requiring risk mitigation are an anathema to their values.

They are ideologues incapable of taking responsibility for the listed extinction events of whole species of fish caused by corporate factory fishing.

Blind to the damage resulting from taking out large breeding members of fish species.

All the because of unevolved, under developed value systems.

Japanese whale industry needs to be honest. Don;t tell research when it is xommerxial food hunting. Toothfish? Very soon Shrimp and crab eating will be targeted.

The eco-terrorist SS brag that they have sunk 10 fishing vessels. 11 if you count the Ady Gil. They are a pro-violence organization with pro-violence supporters. Maybe the toothfish will suffer a stroke from all the worry?

Strawman. Riffraff claimed 'Sea Sheppard only takes up causes in areas that allow them to act outside the law'. Refuting that patently untrue statement is not the same as saying SS are angels. I don't see anyone claiming that.

But add up the pluses and minuses, and in my opinion they come out on top. As Jack said, they are our pirates. It's only the folk wantonly and illegally killing sea creatures who need fear them.
