Police, Maritime Safety Agency personnel and local volunteers on Saturday conducted another search for missing tsunami victims in Miyagi Prefecture.
Such searches have become common on the 11th day of each month in Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima — the three prefectures hit hardest in the March 11, 2011 disaster.
The searches for missing people are conducted at the request of families of the missing, though no remains have been found for more than a year.
On Saturday, about 60 searchers looked for remains along the coast of Kesennuma, NTV reported. No remains for found.
The National Police Agency says that 2,640 people officially remain unaccounted for in Miyagi, Iwate and Fukushima prefectures. Of those, 1,287 were from Miyagi.
The official death toll stands at 18,800.

If the bereaved get even a small amount of comfort from these on-going searches, then they should continue.

I don't know but is it even possible to find any remains after so long? I agree with JonathanJo I hope they are able to find something.
