Serviced and virtual office provider Servcorp announced Monday that it has donated 12.8 million yen to the Tyler Foundation, a non-profit organization which supports children with cancer and their families in Japan. The money this time is to be spent on supporting children who suffered in the earthquake and tsunami that occurred in the Tohoku region on March 11, including those with cancer, their families and those in affected communities who need extra psychological care.

Servcorp Japan has been actively raising funds for the Tyler Foundation as a Platinum Sponsor for four years. In addition to the permanent installation of collection boxes at the receptions of every Servcorp location, the team of more than 150 employees at over 22 locations organize inventive charity events to raise funds from clients as well as actively making donations themselves.

The donation from Servcorp will be spent on the Shine On! Beads of Courage Program, as well as other programs run by the Tyler Foundation. The goal of this program is to help children battling cancer by letting them collect the colorful beads as symbols of their courage which they collect along their treatment path. The program has proven to be highly successful in the healing process.
