Like Farmboy said, without a Tap and Die set what can you do.I know NASA has used duct tape and cardboard before on filters.Do they have any kind of workshop facilities up there.A simple metal bracket shaped to cover the box and long enough to bolt to nearby fasteners might work, but do they have metal bar, drills or even longer bolts!

I'm sure Scotty could have taken care of those blimey bolts. Just sayin.

Try some WD40, that always gets them in and out easier.

If Everything fails use Duct-tape!

When everything fails, try it the time-tested way the boys used to do, hammer it in.

Blasted, darn sticky bolts! And out in space?? Bad enough down here on earth! Feel sorry for them up there in the Space Station, wish them luck.
