Shouldn't it be in space?

As typhoons rotate counter-clockwise, we in Kumamoto are generally protected by the mountains. But the southern and eastern provinces - Kagoshima, Miyazaki, Oita - and Shikoku generally get whacked pretty hard. I've noticed that their architecture takes this into account.
