Mr Ishitani doesn't care how much radiation he absorbs?
He has stopped taking radiation measurements because it is 'silly' ?
His beeping geiger counter is obviously telling him that he is getting too much radiation but that's ok?
You can't catch any fish in the ocean because consuming them will be too dangerous?
Going to a clinic is a waste of time and it isn't convenient?
I got some advice that a nuclear engineer related to me.
He needs advice? Get as far away from Minami-Soma as possible and don't go back.....

I know of a Japanese land owner in Hawaii who has 25 acres of land by the sea that could be made into a retreat for Sendai Fukushima displaced persons... and residents or even Spa Hawaiians having a place in Hawaii to train its dancers in real Hawaiian dance at the center of hula... now with direct flights to Hawaii.. sponsors could build building a community on this land in Hawaii.. a place of peace and healing.

These people remind me how blessed and lucky I am when I start stressing about the stupid things in my life.

Nice to see and hear these recovery stories, truly Japan is a nation that cares.

I'd be stressed out too, if someone were clearly very, very wrong and my government not only decided to act like everything was okay, but my people voted in another government that when previously in power, enacted all of the policies that led to something being clearly very, very wrong.

Assuming hes living in Minami Soma 200 days a year, an hourly rad count of 3 microsieverts equates to around 14400 microsieverts exposure a year; a figure predicated on the doubtful assumption that his travels around town and consumption of area produce have kept his exposure to just that. Its time someone told him about the cumulative nature of radiation exposure.

3 microsv is there 24 hours nonstop. Please don't compare this to 5 sec X-ray!!! Radiation in Minami Soma is caused by radioactive particles which can get mobile by wind watter etc. it can get to your body accumulate and cause cancer to human. It's different then flight or X-rays. Protect your kinds and also kids of your kids. Clean up is in my opinion unrealistic. You can clean up house garden but you can not clean up forest and every inch of your town. Good luck to you Mr. Ishitani. Lot of support from my family. I hope you find good way. Your wife already did. Let it go....
