@Aly Rustom, it depends where you live in Japan, the Yui Rail and bus services have stopped on Okinawa's main island, we’re on typhoon holiday today and tomorrow, will have passed by Saturday. So, not “oh well” but, oh, very good. Stay safe everyone!

Real shame about this typhoon coming on the weekend- had it been a weekday, people might have gotten some time off...Now its just going to ruin the 3 day weekend..oh well

If you live in a high rise apartment in the city, I suggest putting tape on the windows on an X formation.

Japan must have done something to P-off the gods.

Nah. Nothing to do with any deities. Much simpler than that - climate change.

Stay safe, all.

Eermm.. rotaredom. Global warming causes heating up of the sea, causing more extreme weather. Delete away. Have many links...

Why this Typhoon takeoff during the Weekends only.I realized that most of the natural disasters happens only during the weekends.I almost decided not to fly during the weekends.

It’s usually the west side that drops the most rain so hopefully Japan will be spared of more mudslides and flooding.

The weather is terrible (or weird) just about everywhere. Hope there aren't any disasters and hold on tight everyone.

25 is essentially following the same track as #24, so as others have said, be mindful of how things are, soil will be saturated, heavy and loose, if you see the color of run off changing to brown, move from where you are if you can.

All drains unblocked, everything charged, generator topped up and the neighbours checked on (They are a real tough pair! Probably checking on me later.) Last Saturday / Sunday was nuts, this is going to be no different. Stay safe.

Some areas here in Aichi-Ken are still without electricity after the last one. . .

The hits just keep in coming. Japan must have done something to P-off the gods.

Winds are picking up and there already have been some torrential rains too! Actually feel sorry for some folks down here who are still without power after that weekends typhoon.
