More like a survivor from depression. Self preservation instincts are strong in us humans!

hats off to this wonderful man for surviving and working to help others do the same. As a former at risk individual who is out of the woods I know how important it is to share that kind of experience. respect to Mr sawato

Mr.Sawato, I read your story, you are the top men I see, you stand up by yourself, so proud of you!♥️♥️♥️

Then one day on a train back from a follow-up hospital visit, he received profuse thanks from an elderly woman for offering her his seat. That touched his heart, restoring his self-esteem.

Just shows that random/small acts of kindness do make a difference. Quite a powerful, albeit slightly depressing, article. And thanks for Sawato san for putting what he went through into words, very insightful.

Suffering from massive depression and zero self esteem he hits rock bottom and gets up the courage to end it all, but doesn't jump from high enough...I'm glad he turned his life around, but I'm not sure he should be giving out any advice.
