Knowing the history of that area, you would think they would do a more intense inspection of the ground before building a NUCLEAR POWER PLANT!

Building a nuclear power plant on a former military airport bombed in the war? What could go wrong!?

Why do they call it an airport instead of an Air Base? Never miss the opportunity to play the victim huh.

And how do we know it wasn't a Japanese bomb left behind

After spending 22 years in the US Air Force I'm glad you were kind enough to remind me what an air base is.

I had no problem making the connection. I just want to know why they chose those words instead. Calling it an airport makes it sound less threatening did less like a target, so they can play the victim

It was more than a kilometer away from the reactor.

It should say and less like a Target that's what I get for trusting my voice recognition software and not checking what it typed

No matter what, that's still just one man's opinion

As are all posts here. Give it a rest.

Nothing did go wrong at least in relation to that

They said military airport (which is of course an air base) in case you didn't know.

it is TEPCO so always money before safety so no surprise they did not do deeper inspection because... it does cost money.

Well that's, you know... exhales sarcastically

Your "victim" argument is ridiculous.

Well I guess we're all entitled to your opinion.

The example doesn't fit your argument.

Just because you don't understand/agree, doesn't mean it doesn't fit.

A military airport is an airbase. To argue that the use of the term is evidence of "victimhood" is ridiculous. Even to those looking for "victimhood" arguments.
