I wonder what the interest rate is? The banks smell all our tax money don't they? First profit in three years without raising electricity rates? Is this profit going back to the displaced in Fukushima? There should be complete transparency, and for starters, the annual amount the yakuin are making, including perks. I'm sure the ordinary salary man and engineers are getting peanuts due to pay cuts

You people want this whole thing settled don't you? Well that takes money, which is coming from the private sector. Japan seems to be leaning towards renewable energy, so what else do you want?

@ jeff198527...

I see your point on this Jeff. Yet I don't subscribe to the idea of this rescue pacake aide suddenly surfacing soon after the tax hike was announced. Coincidence? NOT!! Just another form of monetary system being monopolized.

Even if the expenditure and income are stable, can you say that about TEPCO's corporate structure?

TEPCO will likely make its first profit in three years in the year to March - without raising electricity rates or restarting reactors

Didn't they raise rates a few months ago?

WHY WHY WHY ????

500 billion yen could be a good consideration for use to start a few new green energy companies across the nation than buying/bailing out a company that was bankrupting the whole nation and killing the world environment.

Power nuclear energy plant shouldn't be allowed to be built in the first place, idiots!!!!

TEPCO CEO is using "OYMPIC 2020" clean-up as his hidden agenda for baiting more funds from the national coffer...

God bless Japan!!!!

TEPCPO must have provided their new direction that convinced banks that it will be proittable. Green Energy and recyclable energy, It may have plan to be a solar energy operation company before each house install own panels that will not pay energy fees to TEPCO.
