United States,...has for the first time become a "net underachiever," hampered by what the report called the U.S. administration's "revisionist economic agenda"

Whereas Japan has never had a "revisionist economic agenda" concerning, say, it's agricultural market.

Though I think this is more because the competition is weak than Japan is strong, I think they've got the right assessment.

"leader of liberal order" Interesting. In todays New York Times, there is an opinion piece that says Abe has been moving Japan more towards a "decidedly authoritarian turn". Liberal or authoritarian? Who is right?

Seems the board of the "Think Tank" is a little stacked by 1 family.

I stopped reading when NK ranked higher than Japan militarily....

Lists and rankings when on the news, really should be more objective.

Think tank is mad & too shallow on the knowledge of the Japanese world.
