No, that is not "suppression" but once again the very positive discarding of worthless theories trying to be disguised as scientific fact. Bhakdi is another source that have been demonstrated mistaken multiple times, and that never present the data that is necessary to actually sustain his opinions, vaccines did not kill more people than COVID as he said, nor mask are related to health problems without protecting against infection.
The scientific consensus is exactly the opposite of almost everything he says, and that is because science depends on evidence to reach a conclusion and he parts from a mistaken conclusion and tries to manipulate people into believing him against the evidence.
That is the think, you can hear very easily about all the well recognized institutions that deal with COVID, they are NOT being suppresed at all, and it is very easy to find how they defend the measures used against COVID, the safety and efficacy of vaccines, etc.
You have failed to produce evidence any well recognized organization is on a different page, and is trying to say this is because they are being suppressed, even when it is very easy to corroborate they are not. You could prove your point very easily just by saying examples of organizations that cannot express those supposedly contrary opinions, but instead of this you can only produce examples of people with completely valid criticism of their work.
Again, according to you every single one is lying for no reason, that is simply not believable, neither is that they are being suppressed, since you can easily find something the organizations have expressed about COVID, the problem is that you cannot find anything supporting your views, but that has nothing strange since science is only on the side of evidence, and evidence proves this conspiracy as false.
Jay-11
You are proving our point, the ones who are telling the truth are being suppressed that’s why you haven’t heard about them. When has there never been some kind of disagreement in any issue? You expect us to believe that everyone is on the same page? Conspiracy theory though? How is it a conspiracy theory when they talk about vaccine passports that are currently in development? How is a theory when they are developing digital currencies in Japan? Are you that oblivious to the things occurring? Klaus Schwab openly wrote a book about the great reset and the UN Agenda 2030 is their playbook. It’s all there to be read.
So you believe every single one of the recognized scientific and medical institutions of the whole world are being coerced, controlled or have an agenda and that is why none of them agrees with your conspiracy theory? Sorry but that is not realistic, once you begin to think the whole world is wrong and you are right, reason and logic are no longer with you. Specially when you produce exactly zero evidence to prove your opinion and the whole scientific consensus provide plenty of proof that it is false.

I do not know what conspiracy theory you are talking about, but the suppression of scientists who disagree with the official narrative, such as Sucharit Bhakdi is real. Their voices are removed on Big Tech social media, ignored in the "mainstream media" and misrepresented in official commentary. The claim that there is one uniform "scientific consensus" concerning the virus and the vaccinations, simply because dissidents are suppressed, is shallow.
virusrex
So having no evidence of your belief and well as having all the institutions that deal with the topic being very vocal about it being wrong, actually prove your belief as true? that makes no sense.

Precisely. And I've been told by a reliable friend, who has connections with the Japanese government and the US, that American hospitals receive extra subsidies if they label Covid as the cause of death of a patient. This may partly explain the higher toll in the US.
Social distancing of beds has to also be taken into account when hospitals say they are stretched at capacity. People need to question the narrative a bit.
"How many scientific or medical recognized institutions are being suppressed?"
Precisely
virusrex
Obviously, if all of the well recognized institutions that curate scientific knowledge as their mission are against your favorite conspiracy theory what do you think it means? that people without evidence just repeating their own opinions are more likely to be right? or that the "suppression" is actually the usual, desirable and valid process of science of discarding false or irrelevant opinions when the evidence proves them wrong.
I would be concerned about their funding, where does it come from? What can they say if they get it from certain people or organizations? You’re right, they aren’t being suppressed, they are being coerced. Scientists and academics alike, I don’t believe anyone is neutral.
How many scientific or medical recognized institutions are being suppressed?
Answer: zero. Sorry but outliers do not represent the sicentific experts, specially when they simply state what they think without any data to sustain their personal opinions as the sources you keep bringing.
Nothing in the interview contradicts the fact that he has been wrong multiple times, everything in the criticism against him is well sustained and you have not been able to excuse or explain anything used against him, because it is valid and correct to criticize someone for false information. Lots of people are wrong without having to benefit from it, not that he is not getting a lot of recognition from a lot of people that can't simply accept scientific knowledge, people have done even worse things for this.
It is not important how he calls himself but how many times he has been wrong and found using false information, that is what disqualifies him as a valid source for anybody that wants to be honest.
Sorry if you don't like effective measures that have been used to reduce the spread of infection, you could replace them with a vaccine but unfortunately that is an option only for rational people.
And again, you have presented absolutely zero evidence that any kind of booster will be even necessary, right now your only argument is to contradict yourself and say that vaccine developers should be trusted completely when they say people will need it, even if they have produced no data to prove it and the scientific consensus is that immunity against COVID can be sufficiently protective against all variants that have appeared until now and can be long lasting. So, what is your excuse to present no data against the argument of that data not existing?
Jay-11
The question most people need to ask themselves is why do they trust the government. They lie about hospitals being full when we all know that most hospitals don’t accept Covid patients. They are lying about the variants of this virus, they lied about the PCR tests, they lie about efficacy of masks and people still don’t research it for themselves. No one is thinking for themselves anymore. Perhaps we deserve the future they are planning.

This latest convid outbreak is very deadly. Please give up the idea of having the Olympics. This keeps everyone safe.

Is that supposed to prove a point?!!
Institutions can be controlled or have an agenda. The was also the previous head of the CDC who had certain opinions, but could only express them after he left that institutions.
Those inside institutions cannot say anything that deviates with their agenda. If they do, they get removed.

Watch the interview and realize that honest opinions of scientific experts are being suppressed and why they are. Mr. Yeadon discusses in detail why his fellow scientists agree with him but cannot speak their mind:
https://rumble.com/vg4inv-michael-yeadon-full-interview-planet-lockdown.html
I'm sorry but what are you talking about? You haven't even watched the interview to justify what you are saying. Just finding whatever hit pieces you can find to dismiss his background of 16 years as VP at Pfizer to protect Pharma's narrative. He's retired and already stated that he get no benefit from doing that interview nor making those statements except ridicule, threats and hit pieces like the one you presented.
Not antivaxxer but anti corrupt pharma. Please remember that next time because you resort to using the phrase antivaxxer when you have nothing left to add. This COVID vaccine is simply unproven, still experimental , free of liability for vaccine companies and there are negative adverse events (disability, blood clots, death) happening outside of the normal fever, pain, headaches that last more than a week.
Easier to transmit variants? Lockdown, mask up, social distance and fear...we've been over this before. Pharma fear propaganda in full effect.
Again....not Pfizer's CEO but also Moderna's CEO is saying the same 4/23/2021:
"Moderna is working on a booster shot to fight off COVID-19 variants.
The company hopes to have it rolled out by this fall, according to its CEO Stephane Bancel. Clinical data on a booster shot could come in May...Moderna CEO says booster shots will eventually be required"

Again, it is not the media but the scientific experts that warn that variants that transmit more easily end up causing more deaths.
Michael Yeadon has been repeatedly criticized validly because he fails to base his opinion on any data, he has been repeatedly wrong about his predictions and has misrepresented other people's work for his purposes. This criticism is easily to prove valid since he has not been able to defend himself from those accusations, you don't even tried to do it yourself just accepted that he is mistaken all the time but you want to believe him, that is not rational.
Once again only irrational antivaxxers groups are the ones trying to use fear, medical and scientific professionals are promoting sensible and valid caution against the virus, including the easier to transmit variants. Fortunately and by the previous records of your source being wrong more times than right this means that his prediction of annual boosters are also completely out of the possibilities.
That is actually a good use for a source that is mostly wrong, you can at least expect him to be wrong consistently.

A different take on the variants.
Are the variants more contagious?
The WHO has strengthened its international monitoring system as it tracks the spread of three coronavirus variants that contain a particular mutation: N501Y. The mutation affects the notable spike proteins on the surface of the particle and increases the infectious capacity of the virus. The variants emerged from the UK, South Africa, and Brazil.
UK variant
The variant originally confirmed in the UK was first identified in September of 2020. According to WHO data, it is 43 to 90 percent more contagious than the original virus. The WHO also says that analysis shows the variant’s effective reproduction number — the average number of people a single carrier will infect — is likely to be 41 percent higher than that of the original virus. Japan’s National Institute of Infectious Diseases puts the figure at 32 percent.
The WHO says the variant has been found in 132 countries and regions as of April 13.
South Africa variant
This strain is believed to have emerged in early August of last year. An analysis of South African coronavirus cases conducted in mid-November of last year showed that the majority of infections at that time were of the variant.
The WHO says this strain is 50 percent more infectious than the original virus. It also says the effective reproduction number is likely to be 36 percent higher. As of April 13, the body had confirmed the variant in 82 countries and regions.
The variant also has a mutation known as E484K which allows it to evade antibodies and could lead to an increased risk of reinfection.
Brazil variant
This variant was identified on January 6 during an airport quarantine check in Japan for people arriving from Brazil. Researchers believe it emerged the previous month in the northern city of Manaus. As of last month, 73 percent of infections in the city were cases of the variant.
The WHO says the effective reproduction number is likely to be 11 percent higher than the original virus. As of April 13, it had been confirmed in 52 countries and regions. It also has the E484K mutation found in the South Africa variant.
This information is accurate as of April 21, 2021.

Indeed. It's all about control and injections using FEAR (OH NO! Cases going up, mutant variant strains, comorbidity (heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure - even car accidents) deaths marked as due to COVID, Virus is spreading!) and propaganda to make sure people comply.
As Michael Yeadon explained in his interview....once they have an electronic database of those who inject they will be pinged to get their annual boosters...if they don't comply they will lose their freedoms. If they don't bring in the rest of their family members to inject they also lose their freedoms (work, shop, travel, education, etc).
Don't know if you caught it but the interview with Sucharit Bhakdi MD (**Most cited microbiologist in German academic history) **on the above site is also very good.

Exactly the same interview I saw. We know this isn’t just about a virus.
Agreed. No need to fear the "mutant" strains as the media would want you to fear them.
Michael Yeadon, former Vice President and Chief Science Officer of Pfizer (where he worked for 16 years) discusses the 0.3% variance of the mutant strains his interview and how similar SARS-COV2 is to SARS-COV1:

Well, the lies continue. Seeing how these “mutant strains” are 99.7% similar to the original virus, it’s not of concern. Stop excepting their lies people. Masks don’t work, vaccine passports are only about control of movement, and the vaccines are experimental. Those medical workers who took the vaccines should sue since it breaks international law. Nuremberg code if anyone was wondering.

Lower numbers of positive is because private labs are closed.
According to Tokyo Keizai Japan is testing fewer than 8,000 people a day with half coming back positive lately.
Now compare that to Ontario Canada that is doing 50,000 a day and returning the same number of positive cases as Japan get with only 7,000 test.
But more interesting is the fact that of approximately 8,000 test done in one day, only 3,500 were done by the government the other 4,800 were done by private labs at the request or private individuals or companies that could not get tested by the government.
And 4,800 positive results came from those 8,000 tests which means there were more positive cases than total test by the government on that day.
So without people going out and spending their own money bro be tested we would have an even bigger false information on the number of cases in Japan.

The Games are not a 'beacon of hope', as Koike says. They're a preposterous demonstration of ignorant avarice. And the ban on all foreign spectators of a spectacle that has no place considering current expansion of the pandemic is nothing compared to the ban on foreign tourists who want to see their Japanese friends and families.

It’s just unbelievably stupid. We all are now handled by those small viruses, only because we have done and still do nothing to handle them instead.
Proper Science
More misinformation from the goverment.
The dominant variant of SARS-CoV-2 have been changing ever since it was first discovered, this isn't anything new, and the governor, who has shown time and time again her scientific illiteracy now thinks it is OK for her to announce to the public data she doesn't even fully understand as long as it gets people scared.
The main focus should be on vaccination, but as it has happened ever since last year, proper science has taken a back seat in the name of opportunistic politics.
CaptDingleheimer
If the "3 C's" thing is such an important concept, perhaps the governor should make the sign in Japanese instead. People in Tokyo tend to read and write in Japanese, not English.
The English sign may look cool (I guess), but it's just about as useful as udders on a bull.
drlucifer
How do you fight a virus by instead decreasing testing. Still awaiting the 65,000 tests you promised last year.

purple_depressed_bacon
Koike holding up the "No 3 C's" sign is the epitome of irony - now that GW has ended, the trains in Tokyo embody closed spaced and crowded places with the intermittent smattering of closed conversation. What's it going to take for them to target the companies and offices that refuse to let their employees work from home because that's what keeping the numbers up; not alcohol and eating establishments.

Shouldn’t the diagrams on the sign show a big red line across those? The way it is shown it implies to do those three things rather than not to do it! Only having the word “No” on top one time isn’t effective!
Also, I’ve said this before but they really need ti close Universities as young people are super spreaders as most are asymptomatic! Major cities in Japan will never be able to contain this outbreak because the biggest culprit are crowded trains where people stand within millimeters of each other! The authorities seem to be targeting only areas like restaurants which contribute around 20% towards the infection yet trains / train stations which contribute 60+ % don’t have a single effective strategy against corona!

The time for a hard lockdown, if at all, was a year ago.
The horse has bolted. Enacting one at this point would:
1 - give the police powers that might be abused (they can already detain on a whim.
2 - cause domestic abuse to skyrocket, with families forced to endure each other’s company in cramped accommodation.
3 - Covid fatigue is already here. The suicide rate would further increase.
4 - teenage pregnancies would increase. It’s a fact they did during April to June last year.
The logical thing to do when’s be to find/ create facilities for those with less severe symptoms.
I’m not against the vax - just while it’s in trial phase.

Without doubt, there is complete incompetance at every level and for the entire duration of the pandamic here. You know, it doesn't matter who is holding that silly sign, nothing would be different. The circus that brought us - the handling of the Diamond Princess, the 'great Osaka model' , the abe masks, the 'go-to spread it more' campaigns, the pathetic testing regieme, the 'powerful and very strict' soe's while the trains are jam packed everyday and the oyagis hold parties in Ginza clubs, the no vaccination plan, and coming up ... the Olympics. "In addition to a shortage of medical workers such as doctors and nurses who inject vaccines, it is believed that the Japanese people's negative views on the safety of vaccines and their effectiveness compared to people in other countries form one reason. Another suspected factor is that Japan has relied on foreign countries for vaccine supplies."
Read the above article. Japanese media have been spreading propaganda to remove ANY blame from Japanese government inaction. Basically with a de-facto state-controlled media, there can be no criticisms of the government, so there is zero hope for Japan vaccine pace to ever pick up. With the people seeing the political families are the ONLY legitimate rulers and they themselves believe they must be loyal subjects, there's zero incentives for the politicians to improve upon the vaccine situation. I would be completely SHOCKED if Japan managed to vaccinate even 10M people by end of this year.
CDA
I'm over these messages from the government and business "leaders". They are just words and little action to address the core issues around this virus and the situation the "leaders" have put this country in.
Their inaction to irradiate the virus, and simple manage it to control the working population to the puppet masters want is completely appalling.
If they want this virus gone:
Mandate remote working where possible
Ramp up testing and contact tracing through QR code check-in (like in Australia) for those who have to work at the office/work place
Mass vaccinations for all residents in Japan NOW.Bob Fosse

I wonder why it is in English? probably because this is just for global show with no real intention of taking any action. To the Japanese people, it is probably just gonna be, everything's fine, your government have completely eliminated covid from the country, your government is the best of the best.
Interesting how the media blames the slow vaccine uptake on JAPANESE PEOPLE instead of ineptness of the government. The entire media essentially does nothing but sings praise to the government, and suppresses any criticism.

The Japanese people have let their leaders down by ignoring their pleas to stay at home in order to stem this deadly disease. Experts - proper containment measures are necessary to avoid ending up with continued transmission of the pandemic.
Government 3 months later - We could not stop the pandemic from taking root in the country.
Experts - The public health situation is fragile and it will be in trouble even with relatively few cases.
Government 3 months later - The hospitals are full and we need to to reduce the number of cases.
Experts - Campaigns like "Go to travel" only increase the risk of transmission.
Government 3 months later - "Go to travel" is suspended and replaced with a costly state of emergency
Experts - New variants are more easily transmitted and will end up causing more troubles if they enter the country.
Government 3 months later - mutant strains of COVID became dominant and are causing more cases.
Experts - This is no time to be holding international events bringing thousands of visitors because it will cause a lot of problems in a city already dealing with uncontrollable transmission of COVID.

And what does the Jackass leading the country have to say about the 500 nurses that have to volunteer during the Olympics? with the medical system strained, does he STILL expect 500 volunteers??
I call BS on BOTH those numbers
Its not going to be enough to have some places doing that lukewarm SOE. They need a proper SOE that sees the schools close nationwide and Teachers schooling via social media with people WFH when possible and establishments just close so they control the infections. But no PROPER SOE or lockdown, snail pace vaccinations, and people more or less left up to their devices ISN'T going to do anything. And its only a matter of time before we get like India. The longer the gov drags their feet, the more vicious new strains will appear, which is what is happening in India, and Japan will be in a total nightmare.

This looks like the set of a children’s TV show.

It is as if they dont research the world, they believed a short and powerful ( less powerful than other countries would help)
If they want to save their precious Olympics they need people working from home, business actually closed not just at 8pm and the vaccine rolled out quicker.
I'm all for protecting the economy but this is getting farcical now.

Mass testing would, finally, be great as well. I never believed this insanity of test suppressing would continue for more than a year, but it just seems to get worse and worse. Just heard that an elementary school, where my friend is working, that has a cluster, is not being closed, and nobody is getting tested and traced, but they continue working as normal. The students' parents have been tested, but that's it. Sickening.

Putting the sign in the native language of Japan might actually help. Oh, and getting us vaccinated. Christ on the cross.

Well, who could’ve possibly predicted such a thing? It’s not like this hasn’t been happening all around the world...while stricter conditions have been in place.
No, this is something that couldn’t have been predicted, especially while essentially doing nothing to try and stop it.

If the Japanese government had done a better job rolling out the vaccine this wouldn't be an issue. Why is Koike so quiet about this ?
