@Zoroto What would be so substantially different with published 400 cases out of 8,000 testings, considering the size of the Metropolitan area? lol

We went out with my girlfriend on Saturday. We were near Tokyo Station at the Shin Marunouchi building. The dinning floors were full of people sitting next to each other and of course without mask and partitions. There was also even a wedding party. The next day we had a dinner near Yurakucho station, the restaurant was full of people too and they even made us sit just next to people we didn't know. It was the case in the whole restaurant since it was not very big and we were actually quit uncomfortable with that. I don't see any reason to believe that the same thing is happening on other areas of Tokyo.
Now I don't blame them at all for that. As long as the number of death is not sky rocketing, even if the infections increase, I don't see why people should not continue to live almost normally. But stop with Japanese following the rules, this is utterly not true.

I am not complaining about it, I just said that we felt uncomfortable because this was really not in line with the recommendations. If I was complaining, I would have left the place. Secondly, that's not my responsibility to decide what the restaurant should do or not, precisely because they are doing it because otherwise they wouldn't have enough customers to stay in business. Actually thats's not the first time I saw that, I have been seeing it for a while now in many places. If everyone would refuse to seat, most of those places would go bankrupt, people know it.

The point is Tokyo is huge and very complex network.
Excessive testing and tracing is impossible. It will take a proper lockdown it will cost an arm and a leg and it will yield nothing .
Insignificant increase in testing on the other hand is not that different from what we have now therefore pointless.

The infections are almost unstoppable without complete lockdowns. What we need are updates from the authorities on the status of the Covid-19 vaccine reportedly being developed by Osaka University. The Japanese people are likely to more readily accept a local vaccine, not to mention the fact that distribution will be considerably easier. It's essential that the Government adopt a warp-speed approach, and not stint on funding. This is a matter of life and death, surely the greatest crisis since the War.

By the time those 180 confirmed crono virus carriers have already spread it out pretty far for sure. No way to track this anymore. But how do we know they were really confirmed. I like to see evidence. Anyone can write a report and say this is truth!

So that's an excuse for not having a strategy here ?
Wow, i hope they anticipate something for the next big earthquake then ...

Coming from someone who is a hyper-partisan supporter of the Great Loser of the West, that comment comes across as sarcasm from someone who's Dear Leader instead did absolutely nothing whatsoever other than pretending the virus would just go away.
