These numbers make 0 sense. A positive rate going from 15% to 5% in one day? Do people seriously think the publish numbers are the real ones?

I find it very interesting how quickly people got used to Covid19 being around...

A few months ago when one person in my are found to have Covid19, people did not stop talking about it and family restaurants were almost empty. Last week 4 people tested positive, and nobody even mentions it and the restaurants are really busy...

When I asked my GP "where can I get tested?" he replied "not here" then I said "then where?". He said "maybe at a big hospital..." This government is taking this virus really seriously....

I don't understand why the main news in Japan about corona infected are always focusing on Tokyo?

Tokyo Olympics. Nothing else matters to the Government.

I heard that most of the tests they do are from healthy people which have to do tests at the airport for example when arriving in Japan.

This would explain why there are so many negative tests when you actually have to be really sick to get tested.

You're right -- the inability to get tested has remained stable. The rejection of potential patients by hospitals has remained stable. Denial of the people and the government in particular has remained stable. Ergo, lies about the actual numbers of infected, and the number of shills who will say it's all good... remains stable. Well done.

These are 'reported' numbers, i.e. numbers that have been officially registered, either through hospital admissions, or positives discovered through contact tracing, I would imagine.

This weekend 26,000 attended a giants game 18,000 a yellow monkey concert both at Tokyo Dome, while Koieke has a press conference to announce slogans on taking care of the elderly and Sapporo limited bar hours.

None of this makes any sense, either lets get on with life and stop publishing daily totals and constant half hearted measures or let's not have huge events and do mass testing.

Personally, I would prefer if we stopped with the daily count and continue opening up. Ideally, just let me know either when I can take off my mask or when the hospitals really need us to stay home.

Seeing as very few people in japan require hospitalization the odds of that happening are very, very low.

The death number from Covid in Japan is very low. Only 4 yesterday. People should not panic. I think reminding people that many more die in a day from other diseases is not inappropriate in this case report and can calm people who may be overly stressed by case numbers.

I don't understand why the main news in Japan about corona infected are always focusing on Tokyo? I think that the national statistics should be prioritized over one city, however big it is.

Besides I wonder how many tests are conducted in Japan. Because according to ourworldindata, Japan coducts 0.17 tests per 1000 people, while countries in Europe have ratio 1.0-2.0. That means 1000 infected per day in whole 126mln Japan is just scam, and if tests would be coducted properly according to population then Japan would easily have at least 6000 if not over 10000 cases per day.

Yep people have gotten so confortable with this so call COVID virus we dont even know if it really exsist as I have not got any sniffles since they announced the release of the viurs in Wuhan. Thats 11 months. So please ask yourself does this virus really give you the sniffles?
