Big numbers, so scary!

Record shattering numbers…. Again …. Osaka the 1st prefecture to raise their meaningless alert level as hospitalizations in actual hospitals reached 50 %…. That’s not imcluding the hundred thousand in hotels there… and does not include today …. Countrywide actual hospitalizations over 1.2 million…. Not sure how long the jgov is gonna let people to keep playing with fire …. But I am predicting the 1st actual SOE is on its way …. Healthcare systems around the country are near total collapse… not enough healthcare workers to tend to the insane number of patients…. For those of you afraid of needles…. It only hurts for a day or 2…. Get vaccinated asap…. If you’re eligible for a booster…. Get it done asap! Unless you’re outside and can properly social distance yourself from others … mask up ! Avoid all forms of public transportation… if you can’t get by without a beer …. Get it at the store and drink it from the safety of your home …. Stop whining about nothing and join the vast majority of responsible adults!

Yep. And dental. US coverage costs about 11 grand a year; about the same I pay in Japan.
For certain things, I trust the Japanese doctors. For other things, not so much. So, get a cheap MRI here, send it to my US dr. to view it, or to use it for any treatment I might need when I go to the US.
Dental--the materials used in Japanese fillings are not good for the long term. So, I get any of that done in the US. But have the 360 degree scans done here cheap.
Because you were asking me.
Not true.
No, they just can't accept Japanese national health coverage.
I am sure you have no problems with Japanese universities, but if you were able to attend an Ivy League school I am sure you would bypass Japan's schools.

Yes, the numbers are from Saturday and Sunday when many clinics and test centers are closed so evrything is delayed. Best to look at Thur and Fri week to week numbers.

Oh. I can contact my US health provider through my online account.
I suggest contacting the UK embassy for a list of UK doctors working in Japan.
Okinawa (5,622) New Record!
From another source, Each and every day, the number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in the prefecture has exceeded 500.
If you, get out of Japan and go back to your country and let this out of control wave ride out.

Do you have any friends or family in a Western country? If so, are you able to contact them?

HUGE NUMBERS!
Japan is getting hit hard; and these numbers only scratch the service.
The 4 people I know who caught the recent variant in the last 2 weeks all had extremely mild symptoms and were able to function normally after the first day of being tested positive. 3 were fully vaxxed, the other had received no vaccines.
Anyone looking to get the 4th vaccination should consult with a Western doctor, as that vaccine does not do anything to prevent the current variant. I have been told by a medical expert, If anything, wait until the autumn when the new vaccines come out.

Is there a reason why the numbers come out more slowly on Tuesdays?
Not being smarmy. Legitimately curious.
