North Korea has to be real stupid to even think that they could actually get away with attacking Japan, South Korea etc...I hope they are not as stupid as they are "pretending" to be!
Disillusioned
Elbuda - I don't think NK is pretending to be stupid.

Little baby Kim is upset because he was not getting attention. A baby throwing a tantrum. It is yet to be seen if he has nuclear capabilities and if he does, he only has enough for one bomb. His last attempt at firing missiles was a failure.

It would stupidity to start any kind of war nuclear or conventional.

I wish the United States would stop with this stupid idea to “protect our allies”, Japan may well protect yourself, just that the Americans let the Japanese build their own atomic bomb.

@ Issa1.....if they did that (let them have their own bomb), the US would have no allies...think about it. That is the real reason why the superpowers do not want proliferation of these types of weapons. That and the fact history has shown us, allies can and do turn into enemies when self preservation is at stake.

U.S. will urge Japan to do nothing if nuked by N.K. Better to give more food to N.K. and allow N.K. to develop more sophisticated weapons.

The US is playing "Let me protect you" with S.K. and Japan, not because they don't think they're capable of protecting themselves or that they want to "keep their allies." It's the question of how many more nuclear weapons do we REALLY want to bring into the world. Because the more nuclear weapons available, the more paranoid people will become with their enemies even their allies. People freak out over the thought of any country having nuclear weapons and if Japan or S.K. obtains the technology, they aren't only going to scare N.K. but any other country they have any bad relations with then those countries will want nukes then soon everyone under the sun will have nukes and we really will have the potential to blow ourselves up. Not to mention that's a very expensive technology and why focus on the "who has more" game when there are other things we need to focus on? For now, America is offering as an ally to protect Japan and S.K. because we've had this technology, we know how it works, and we've used it before (unfortunately). It's more for the interest of the entire world to keep as little of this technology available as possible.

The fact of the matter is North Korea is desperate. Desperation almost always leads to aggression. Read history, chill out and stop insulting each other. From what I've read on this thread only one of you has a thinking brain. The others have not only a limited vocabulary but no global strategic intelligence.
I'm still coming to Japan in mid-May and will stay for at least six weeks, nuke threat or no.

This is a cheap tale developed specially for semi-educated US folks. No one needs a self-proclaimed world policeman".
Bombing countries of Middle East and turning them into lawless hellholes is not "spreading democracy" but acts of aggression and state terrorism. Nowadays people of Iraq and Afganistan are dying everyday of permanent activity of various armed groups of rebells and plain starvation. The USA spreads violence, arrogance and stupidity around the Globe, nothing more.

I think that the UN proclaimed the US that, not the US. Who you gonna call? US...
The ME did that well before the US even existed. Read your history books please.
