100 pound? I think the writer means £100, or one hundred pounds.

Some seriously heavy nail clippers there! They probably had to convert the prices to guineas for His Maj.

No puke, UK-JPN relations go back to the Meiji period and Britain served as a model for modern Japan to a great extent. The only time in 400 years that the UK and Japan were adversaries was the 4 year period during WWII. The similarities between the two nations geographically and in social structure in the past and today lent itself to this relationship between the now two democratic nations.

In contrast, China's Confucious Institutes which have existed for 12 years are a propaganda tool employed by the CCP dictatorship which itself has only existed for 69 years and is at political odds wit both the UK and Japan. Honestly, where do you come up with such stupid comments all the time?
