Incompetence is annoying enough if it's a suitcase gets lost, but when it's a life, it's simply unacceptable. Flying is stressful enough for animals, but now they're going to make the poor dogs fly again, because some dumbasses can't be bothered to do their jobs? Let's hope they don't kill these two as well...

United sucks, anyway. Hope the airline was sued for plenty for the dog that died in the other case.

United killed another dog this week when the flight attendant insisted that the tiny dog be put in an overhead bin. Yeah, United has gone way downhill. 20 years ago UAW was a good choice to fly to Japan. Now it's Delta or JAL. Any more I never fly United except as an act of desperation.

United has actually made significant strides in improving its reliability to the point that they are now number one or close to it in on time performance of all US airlines. The service isn't as good as ANA but relatively speaking compared to a few years ago it is more than satisfactory. There are still too many boneheaded decision but anyone who says that they have gone downhill simply has not flown enough either in the past or now to know.

United is one Airline I will NEVER use- come hell or high water.

My last two flights were on United, and ironically on the second leg of my trip the woman across the aisle from me had a little French bulldog on her lap the whole flight. Compared to some of the other airlines I've flown over the past year, I'd give United better marks than a lot of them. The seats were wider than most, they had knee room, their electronics worked, and the food, while not five star, was at least edible.

Still, these incidents with dogs can't be acceptable.
