Even if it was bad for AstraZeneca, halting the trials was a very good thing for vaccine development in general. Many people believe on irrational conspiracies where companies, laboratories, hospitals and governments all hide the negative side effects of vaccines just to poison the world.

Independently if AZD1222 shows enough efficacy and safety to be approved it has shown how this is simply not true, one single case of something serious happening was enough to halt the study and to be reported widely.

unexplained illness in a study participant.

Actually it was 2 participants in a small trial group, who developed very serious effects.

Doesn't really matter though. The vaccine will be made compulsory to all citizens as money is already agreed and laws prevent suing drug companies.

Proof? oh right, the magical conspiracy where companies don't make more money from treatments than from vaccines.

@g.l.t,y. You are right, 2cases in a small ‘sample’ group developed a disease which has a very low probability to occur under ‘normal’ circumstances. It is rather irresponsible to continue and in addition I am very shocked that it is continued here, in Japan!

How low? it is a phase where literally thousands of participants are included, symptoms or syndromes are different from diseases and calculating the probabilities is not exactly rocket science. If you say is "very low" it means you know how low, right?

No, virusrex, many more people are just realizing that they’re being lied to and manipulated by governments, bureaucracies, PR organs and the like on a daily basis, and this has been going on long before Machiavelli wrote The Prince. Simply denying it happens and calling it conspiracy theory doesn’t make you right.

Yes, it is logical that making negative ocurrences in the process can only mean that all negative ocurrences are always hidden completely by bribing everybody involved right? how much money would be enough for you to hide something that will be used for your family? I mean since you think is so easy to accept.

Putting aside the medical community for a moment, do you believe governments in general are being honest and open about this crisis? If so, why. If not, why not?

About the crisis in general? who knows. About all vaccines in general yes. A conspiracy to hide proof of all vaccines being dangerous would involve literally thousands of people that are involved. And that have huge motivations not to be silenced. It would also means silencing tens of thousands as soon as the vaccine is used for the general public. With the people in the front line to receive the vaccine being the ones that have to be included in the conspiracy.

So no, the conspiracy is unbelievable even if you only think about it for a second. So thinking the whole world is in an even bigger conspiracy to ruin the world just to make a tiny percentage back with a vaccine, and at the same time spend again many times more money silencing the tens of thousands people that end up being involved (because they all will hold information that can prove the conspiracy) is just fantasy. Its illogical, irrational, with no basis.

Even more with a very clear example how this is NOT being done like here. Negative effects that according to you should be hidden completely are not only recognized by the people that are there precisely for that role, and reported all over the world in many kinds of media.

That is the opposite of what you believe. The same with the conspiracy that supposedly is hiding good and cheap medicines for profit, while promoting a good and cheap medicine like dexamethasone, it is hard to believe in a conspiracy without proof, it is much more to believe in a conspiracy that can be proved false so easily.

Read more widely and you might discover the world is quite different to how you perceive it right now. A COVID-19 vaccine could be useful, but it’s not the only hammer for this nail.

All the professionals of the world read more than what you apparently are able, and they contradict your personal unfounded opinion.

NOBODY but you has said that vaccine is the only tool to solve this. Repeating that strawman is not going to make it more true.

If you look at their track record you'd be scared to death of this company. Many lies, side effects left out in trials and bribes. You're sure you wanna be the one using their vaccine?
