Seems like California and Texas are the easiest places to get a vaccine paperwork wise - and also no quarantine. You could just fly in and have the J&J, but i think if you REALLY wanted to do it, then it would be worth biting the bullet and guarantee yourself Pfizer.

Talked to the people at the local pharmacy, and although shots are usually scheduled, there are times during the week when anyone can walk in without an appointment and get vaccinated. No proof of citizenship is needed or asked for. It has been reported that hundreds of thousands of Mexicans who live near the border have crossed over in order to get shots.

I do not know if this procedure is also being followed at the American territories, such as Guam, Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. One could investigate. It might be cheaper to fly to one of the territories than to Hawaii or Alaska.

That is the part where you are still mistaken, the reduction applies to all people considered a target for vaccination. Unhealthy or old people are simply where the reduction is more evident, but a young healthy people still gets a reduction of risk when vaccinated.

Please, take all of them with big care and awareness. Besides of the already published blood clots often resulting in death, now we also face severe heart muscle inflammatory symptoms, especially in younger people under 25 and of them , males, on average on the fourth day after the vaccinations. Watch your body and health very carefully, directly after the injection for at least two hours near a medical facility and also the following two weeks, especially attentive. You know, in such cases , if something happens, you are very probably not published or counted under corona or vaccines dead and no coroner will intensely check. You just passed away and that’s all. I don’t think that you would deserve it that way, so take care, whatever vaccination you decide to take or not.

There is nothing wrong with making it clear that these very rare occurrences, even if related to the vaccines (not apparently at this point) would still mean a reduction when compared with the people that develop cardiac problems with the natural infection. This of course is not desirable for antivaxxer propaganda, because they are interested in exaggerating vaccine risks out of proportion, but for everybody else it is extremely desirable to know which of the options carries more risk.

Your recommendation runs contrary to the expert's, specially because the virus produce specific proteins (not included in the vaccines) precisely to "mess up our immune system", not as warned but as demonstrated by many experts.

Regardless of how many people applaud these vaccines, I still think that those who are young and healthy should stay away. It's an unnecessary risk, and even if you survive the vaccination, I worry about how they can mess up our immune system, as many experts have warned us about.

Indeed they don't - In fact if you turn up at the border and state that intention, you would be denied entry. Therefore you'd be stupid to state that, wouldn't you? However,US borders are open from Japan.

You still need a negative PCR test to get on the plane there - there is no mandatory quarantine on arrival on US. You still need PCR test to return here AND Quarantine anyway.

If you can WFH - you could rent a AIR BNB for 3 weeks, have a Pfizer on arrival - have your second shot day of departure and be done with it. 2 weeks in quarantine back here.

@Ashley Shiba - Mainland US will give a vaccine to anybody if you happen to be there. You can just book online and go. Immigration Status irrelevant. All very sensible.

Yes, that is what it is done for anything that is reported after vaccination, including things that have no rational way to be related and things reported so rarely that they are in concordance with the normal occurrence in the normal population. So, at this point this is no sign of alarm, just the system working as usual and investigating all reports instead of just discarding them automatically.

The CDC say that so far, the numbers of those reporting myocarditis is no greater than would normally be seen in young people.

The vaccine developed by the U.S. pharmaceutical company was granted fast-track approval by the Japanese government on Friday along with one provided by Britain's AstraZeneca Plc.

Japan's definition of fast track... not 1 or 2 days but 1 year.

Now I can't think of any excuses that the health ministry could come up with for being slow. I am hoping things will go into 6th gear starting today.

Great that there is another option to get vaccinated, but doesn't it seem a little late to vaccinate the SDF members only a day before they are to meet and vaccinate other older and at risk people? Shouldn't they have been vaccinated two weeks ago to make sure they don't either spread or get the virus themselves? Japanese logic at its finest!

3 available vaccines!! Wow! Now the gov't can give some more lame excuses as to why they can't distribute them. What is next because they already used logistics, computers crashing, not enough doctors with 6 degrees to give a shot, no country would sell the vaccines, people don't want the vaccines. Running out of excuses. Time to get creative!
