Agreed, a really wonderful shot, (well, not for DPRK), but also a terrible beginning? A brave new world of robots, drones and autonomous self-driving vehicles now becomes possible, with GPS accuracy down to centimeters. You are warned!

Good news for the few of us that actually have handsets that support the michibiki birds (basically limited to ASUS sets from the last 2-3 years).

I might actually break 30 satellites visible at once now.

Good news for Hikers & offroaders, and other mountain types.

Rather dramatic landscape suddenly becomes more dramatic.

Interesting paragraph detailing one reason for the satellite is for use by autonomous cars. If they take off (figuratively speaking) the satellite could become a nice little earner.

Surprised they didn't delay the launch to confirm what the exact parts which used the defective materials, but perhaps they were able to determine them faster than other companies.

The English version of the press release sounded a bit like they sent the rocket up anyway & because there were no troubles it meant the material was fine after all lol.

hope it falls apart, and brings more light to the steel issue. as a driver of a potentially conpromised vehicle, i feel that more people need to be outraged

It's a military weapon that should be shot down said NK. But only china has the proven technology.
