It shows how dependent we are on wireless networks. There has to be a backup system in place. Hardly anyone is using the old wired phones.

Give the people more choices / Providers so they don't have to suffer and stop the monopoly, Japan has 3 major providers serving over 200,000 ,000 !! if this is not a monopoly then I don't know what a monopoly is!!

Roaming is an option, but experts warned it will then overwhelm the other carrier's system bcz. of the sudden overload.

If this administrative order doesn't come with actual fines and obligatory restitution it will not prevent anything, if even 1000 yen are to be paid to each affected user that will become a very powerful incentive to actually do things right.
