I am sure they will get support here from the Muslims living in Japan. A nice community actually. And since they worked with the Japanese embassy they probably already have good speaking and reading skills. Welcome to Japan. Halal food is a tough nut to crack though.

Ten? That's what foreigners think of emigrating to Japan? Frankly, no wonder.

Who benefited from our failure in Afghanistan, most Americans are still misinform, that Pakistan wanted Afghanistan to fail, out of jealousy so they did not want too see Afghanistan prosper, while their country was still living in misery Bin Laden was living in Pakistan,9/11 mastermind was from Pakistan, Taliban headquarters were in Pakistan

Are they kidding us? There is no chance of leaving Afghanistan per Pakistan, if you are not a Talib or terrorist yourself. Someone really opposing and having fear to die would choose a route to Tajikistan, Usbekistan or if not possible through Iran, but surely not run into Taliban home region.

Wasn’t it 14 Japanese and 1 Afghan ?

After reading about Sugiyama, the diplomat who saved thousands of Jews during WWII, this makes me pretty sad and feel a sense of hypocrisy. Japan praises Sugiyama as a hero who did the right thing, but they don't want to follow in his example.

I was at that base three years ago by Contract. Was supposed to go back in January and was refused Secret Clearance just prior to leaving; Game Over.

Does not bode well for any future collaborators in vulnerable nations. Good luck recruiting sympathizers in Taiwan.

No.

@SpeedToday are you suggesting Taliban is mass killing their people in gas chamber?

They beat the invaders to submission and got their country back, get over it

No, I don't think I see anything like that in my post. You don't seem to read so well. It's a comment about a man who helped people out of desperate situations and for our government to emulate such actions.

Don’t pretend to be an American. Your English gives it away. But if you are still claiming failure as “your” maybe you are a bhagat

Setting some facts straight, 9/11 master mind was a Kuwaiti named Khalid Sheikh Muhammad, the hijackers were all Saudis and if US had actually taken care of the Saudis instead of bombing poor Afghans, things might have turned better for the entire world.

They're fools if they think Japan will let them in as refugees, and may as well just go back and seek Taliban forgiveness -- might be more merciful now than when they get turned away in a couple months... if they survive the places they'd be neglected in while waiting here.
