Volcanic eruption creates new island south of Japan

Need someone to drill the core of the island to open permanently so the lava will continue to flow out to make a bigger island.

I already claimed the outcropping, but my claim appears to have gone into the memory hole.

I am knocking wood for everyone in Japan. This may be relating to the Ring of Fire. No more major earthquake, please.

And for the record, I know I did not state myself well in the last comment. "That's what Kyushu is" was meant to simply point out that Kyushu was also formed from a volcano.

Back in 1986 a new island appeared in the vicinity of Iwo Jima but disappeared 49 days later eroded by the waves. For the time being it would be better not to name the island.

China, Korea, Taiwan...all will claim. The reason? Historically, when earth didn't cool down, it was a part of their land. They just found that in their local wikipedia.
