RIP

I'm shocked and saddened. Watanabe-san seemed healthy on the news 2 weeks ago. What is the cause? He didnt quite make it to the world record, but it seems Watanabe-san had an amazing life.

Rest in Peace.

The Oldest man is dead.... long live the Oldest man!

I wouldn't even be able to live to this age if I wanted to. I couldn't possibly fund a retirement lasting some fifty years!

He admitted a penchant for sweets such as custard pudding and ice cream.

Now in heaven, pucchin purin in one hand, parm choc ice in the other. RIP big man.

His advice for a long life: "smile." He told the people of the world, "Ganbare!"

What an inspiration!

That thing... when you see your name in the papers for the first time in 112 years.... and you realise you be there again soon.... RIP fella, short lived fame

Nice mantra. "Not getting angry and keeping a smile on one's face". Respectful farewell to Chitetsu Watanabe.
