Police said Tuesday that 15 million yen has been found at an industrial waste processing plant in Shiroi, Chiba Prefecture.
According to Sankei Shimbun, the cash was found among parts of demolished houses and other scrap wood at the plant. The company president was quoted by police as saying that an employee who was categorizing the waste found the cash at around 9 a.m. on Saturday. Police said the 15 million yen bundle consisted exclusively of 10,000 yen notes wrapped in a cloth.
The plant processes 40-50 tons of industrial waste from all over the Kanto region every day. Investigators are currently trying to track the source of the garbage and the cloth used the wrap the cash, in an attempt to find the owner.

Okay...15 million found at a waste treatment plant. Sounds suspicious to me. Could it be that yakuza run that plant and it belonged to them? It could of been placed there for a future deal. Anyway I'm glad it's taken care of. Probably gone into the governments pocket money bank account.

I need to start a home demolition company in Japan. There is plenty of cash showing up when they tear down old buildings.
