Just drill several holes in the bottom and it’s all good!

@kurisupisu

Lol

This article is pointless. Do people really need a warning for something like this? Also, sneaking someone in or out with the music equipment isn't a new thing. They've been doing it for a very long time.

sounds like sour grapes to me

This is just an attempt at SNS viral advertising... move along, nothing to see.

You won't suffocate. I made out with a girl during a trade show in a flight case almost exactly as shown on the right. Sure it got a little hot and sweaty in the flight case but we certainly didn't run out of air. FYI, those cases are from being airtight. Now if that had been something like a Pelican case, yeah you be out and gone as they are airtight.

*those cases are 'far' from being airtight.

Don't try this at home

The details of Ghosn's escape remain sketchy, but various media outlets have reported that the 65-year-old, assisted by private security operatives, hid inside a case that was too large to fit through airport scanners before it was loaded onto the plane.

That's the ticket! Good thing Ghosn doesn't have claustrophobia.

Yamaha is taking advantage of a situation to get some free advertising.

Can't be mad at them!

Of course. Still clever, though.

It seems nobody else saw the report stating his escape in an instrument case was false.

Could have been a great viral ad for how spacious these things are. Wasted opportunity

I'm disappointed the cases are not cello-shaped. They look more like flight cases for amplifiers, not "musical instruments" as was reported.

Yes. It turns out he hid inside a full body suit that looked like a criminally corrupt Japanese CEO. So, they let him right through.

Well, Ghosn has amplified concerns about Japan's justice system.

The real issues seem to me to be (1) don't eat anything that is going to make you fart and (2) don't drink anything that is make you desperate to take a pee.

This is just a teaser marketing strategy. I wouldn’t put it past them to introduce “The Ghosn” - their biggest and widest instrument case in their new product lineup.

I think I might invest in one of those "cases". You never know!

In an interview with Fox Business Channel’s Maria Bartiromo five days ago, Ghosn denied hiding in a musical box.

Speaking to Maria Bartiromo on the Fox Business Network, Ghosn told the host, “I was not in a musical box.”

He went on to add, “I have been observing all of the stories around my leaving Japan. It’s funny because I know exactly what happened. Some people are not very far from the truth, but nobody got it right.”

The case size is now measured in Ghosn (Gn) units.

Many packages leak. Just get a wide straw and insert in hole at bottom of box/case and go to town. People will just think another box leaked and clean it up.

He sure escaped like a scardy cat.

After the Oum Shinrikyo Sarin Incident, all rubbish bins on platforms in train stations in Tokyo became transparent. Will boxes used to transparent music equipment undergo the same transformation?

Will boxes used to transparent music equipment undergo the same transformation?

No, I cannot see transparent music equipment in transparent boxes becoming a clear solution in the near future.
