Their women's team got smoked! 8-0 was painful to watch.

The South Korean team lost half its members just a few weeks ago to make room for the sudden arrival of their Northern sisters. A couple of weeks to try and meld in high level Olympic teamwork - pretty impossible.

They can sit and think about how wonderful it was to lose together with their unified Corean bretheren after they get ousted from their own Olympics.

I'm sure some of the South Korean women on the team are cursing under their breath how Moon and Kim Jong Un with their political meddling screwed up their Olympic dreams.

Lets be realistic. No one anywhere had any expectation they would win - almost definitely themselves included.

And the S. Koreans were never to win either.

Is there a pic of the beauties somewhere? Yes, the SK team - had it remained intact - would have surely done better, that is a given based on the stats. Once again politics makes a mess of things. Sad!

Why are Kims of NK referred to as a dynasty. They are basically a mafia group with nukes.

Also, am guessing a major dispute and jealousy will break out between the cheerleaders and the K-poppers, as the K-poppers arent used to being upstaged like this.

Speed: the teammates all said the chemistry was amazing and they had fun. Surely that is more important than if SK had said no to unifying the team, done MAYBE. A little better, and facing the wrath of both nations instead. Or are you saying they would have won? Because they would not have.

Are S. Koreans really that gullible? Do a few songs and pretty faces suddenly make up for the fact that the North has a thousands of artillery presently pointed at Seoul?

Yeah, yeah, gestures are gestures, but some gestures matter more than others.

As I've suspected, the South needed to allow the North in to act as a shield, not that KJU would have any compunction to take out a few of his own just to prove a point.

As the result of the match indicates, this re-unification will result in a generations-long 8-0 defeat.

I really feel for the girls that trained hard all their lives only to go in order to make place for the n Koreans. Life isn't fair...

making olympics a political statement. sigh

The South Korean women's hockey team was always going to lose. There was never any question.

At least this political stunt may have some positive impact on relations between the North and South. And, if it doesn't? Nothing lost that wouldn't have been lost anyway.

Did all of you sourpusses have the same reaction when East Germany made overtures to West Germany?

making olympics a political statement. sigh

I shall assume you sigh every two years when the Olympics are used for political statements, as they are used as such, each and every time they are held.

A little bit of perspective. The establishment behind these 'army of beauties' recently murdered the half-brother of their leader in an airport. They are responsible for the kidnapping of dozens of innocent Japanese civilians, never to send them home again. Recently they felt the need to test nuclear bombs and have sent numerous test missiles close to Japan. An innocent American tourist who had been jailed was released just as he was about to die from his treatment. Before we get all sentimental about a unified Olympics and the army of beauties, remember exactly who we are talking about.

That hilarious train wreck of a thrashing Korea experienced was about as good as it gets. The NK agent Moon and the puppet sister of anti-Japan JT posters’ hero, Kim Jong Un, witnessed first hand what a farce they are and the flimsiness of the facade they are erecting.

These silly cheerleaders can sing all they want, but this will be the last we see of them. NK is done and I doubt they will survive the upcoming conflict

That monster in the glasses sat next to Kim's sister, is the regime minister who was present when North Korea were charged with the Japanese kidnappings and when they started the missile nonsense. Now he's in the front row at the Winter Olympics all smiles. It's not right because North Korea would never have been awarded an Olympics, but now they can just turn up at their neighbours show and sit front row. The Olympic Committee are falling further in my estimation and President Moon of South Korea should be ashamed.
