And standing US policy is against having direct talks with only NK as it would legitimatize the regime in power.

If any talks are to occur they need to be with all the parties involved, including China, SK, and Japan!

If North Korea is prepared to discuss their nuclear and missile program then Moon deserves an applause. But if North Korea is only prepared to talk about how the North and South Koreans are "brothers" and the United States needs to pull it's forces out f South Korea then Moon will have taken his country much closer to domination by North Korea in accordance with their constitution; to unify the Korean Peninsula under the Kim Regime.

The policy is no direct talks unless North Korea is prepared to discuss it's nuclear and missile programs which are in violation of multiple UN resolutions.

 U.S. President Donald Trump's daughter,

I wonder if she was there in her capacity as a (what is her actual role in the White House?) representative of the US government.

Or maybe she was there doing more marketing for the Trump-Kushner syndicate and their brands, looking to sell things in North Korea (because no one in the 'west' wants the stuff her companies make).

Maybe she wants to design and create some new uniforms for the military and the country's dictator.

Or maybe because her company's have been criticized for the way their sweat shop employees have been treated in China she's looking to move them to North Korea.

Given the Trump-Kushner syndicate has NEVER cared one whit for the American people, other than as consumers of their products, I have to think she's only concerned about making more money for her family.

Just like her daddy.

On her trip to Korea Trump's daughter Ivanka might also be trying to do more influence peddling, perhaps selling visas again.

It could also be she's fronting for the Trump-Kushner syndicate, looking for better channels to launder money now that their 'eastern European' connections are being analyzed.

What are her and her husband's actual 'jobs' in the White House, and why is nepotism now accepted by the those who questioned (and rightly so) the Clinton's.

'Ivanka Trump was smiling'

Why Ivanka Trump "represented" the United States at the Winter Olympics is a mystery only solved in her head. She makes up reasons to fly to South Korea on Uncle Sam's dime just like she makes up reasons to create her own job in the White House and read code word protected intelligence without the proper clearance. Ivanka is a walking, talking poster child for nepotism and abstract incompetence just like the rest of the Trump family...

Congratulations to the South Korean Government.. A minimum of fuss and didn't hear about any infrastructure or security problems..

Job Well Done!

Unless the NK offers complete denuclearization, these so called talks are another sham bid for time to refine their nuclear program. What’s the bet these talks will happen at the end of the year or next year? Especially after NK sent a criminal guilty of killing SKs, you can be sure there won’t be any progress here

Well done to North Korea for their successful diplomatic campaign in dragging America to the negotiating table! The talks will be many months down the line so in that time they can perfect their nuke capabilities just in case the talks don't go the way the North wants.

Perhaps the US would like to denuclearize?

Well done to North Korea for their successful diplomatic campaign

in what? starving their population and spinning their pitiful country to lower than 3rd world status? Congrats!

All this perverse fawning over NK since this Olympics is quite disturbing.

The US is not without it’s faults, but to support a regime like the Kim’s just to spite the West seems to be a disturbing trend.
