Roland Emmerich, director of the upcoming end-of-the-world movie "2012," poses with Japanese "tarento" Megumi Yasu, 27, in Tokyo on Wednesday. The media were shown 15 minutes of footage from the still-unfinished film for the first time in the world. Emmerich, who directed such films as "The Day After Tomorrow" and "Independence Day," said it was appropriate to show footage from "2012" on the day of the solar eclipse since eclipses are seen by many cultures as omens of disaster. Yasu asked Emmerich if the Mayan prophecy on which the film is based -- that the world will end on Dec 21, 2012 -- was true, since her birthday is Dec 22. "2012" opens in Japan on Nov 21

The photon band is a quantum (smallest particle) of electromagnetic energy with zero mass-no electrical charge and an indefinitely long life time. This photon band was first discovered in 1961 by means of satellite borne instruments. About every 26.000 years our Earth travels twice through this higher frequency band(twice in 2000 years in photon energy and twice in 10,500 years dark no photon energy) , affecting the material world and our consciousness. In 1987 our Earth entered for the first time again in this band(null zone) and every year she is moving in-and out with each year staying longer in this higher frequency band, as our solar system is travelling through this particular area within our Milky Way Galaxy. In December 2012 , according to Maya calculations, our sun and Earth will be submerged within this band, without leaving again into the Galactic night.

she looks pregnant to me

While Megumi's presence was completely pointless, at least she was accompanied by someone relevant and there were no questions about marriage.

Why? It's not a word is it?

It is a word in Japanese, but writing it as "talent" would be incorrect. Firstly, no one calls celebrities "talents" in English, and also "tarento" and "talent" are antonyms.

"she's got matchstick legs"

You mean, she doesn't have daikon-ashi legs.

Thank you JT for finally writing “tarento” :)

Jones: "If there was a crime penalty for making bad movies, this man would have three life sentences in prison!"

Well, to be fair I think you'd have to put the people who allowed it to be made in jail, not the man himself. Maybe a stiff fine, public service, and a promise to never, never repeat the mistakes of the past again.

Wow, totally awesome. I am the first one in the world to make the 13th comment on this pic.

Emmerich is rubbish. As for reasons for showing parts of his unfinished movie, publicity dross. And Megumi's birthday coincidence is also silly. And she's got matchstick legs.

Roland Emmerich was indeed director of that movie which doesn't even deserve to be called Godzilla. It was basically a bad Jurasic Park set in New York. Hell, even people lipped synched with the dialogue. How can you call that a Godzilla movie?

smith, I may disagree with you on other stuff, but I totally agree with you on Roland Emmerich's bad movies.

sarge: "Wasn't Emmerich the director of that really bad Godzilla novie?"

Not sure, but he was definitely the director of the epic disaster Independence Day (well, if not a box office disaster it was certainly an awful moment for movies and intelligence). Day After Tomorrow was complete cheese, and the dialogue absolute garbage, but it was slightly more fun than the former. I'll probably watch this new one just to pass the time and check out the effects. But I won't be expecting any improvements to the dialogue, the unbelievable characters, and I certainly won't be surprised when 'America' saves the world at the end.

Yes, Megumi the world will end on Dec. 21, 2012. As fate may have it, my schedule is entirely free on Dec. 20, 2012. Shall I write you in to spend the final 24 hours of existence together?

Megumi Yasu... oh, my...

no no no...she wants to know if she should collect her b-day presents early or not. It would suck if the world ended before she could collect all the goodies.

Good question!

Mark -- No, she attended because she was voted "Best 2012ist".

since her birthday is Dec 22

Ah, that explains why she attended. I knew there was a connection.
