S Korean students protest

South Korean high school students stage a rally demanding full compensation and apology for wartime sex slaves from the Japanese government in front of the Japanese Embassy in Seoul on Wednesday. A South Korean court refused to review a complaint over the 1965 treaty between Japan and South Korea that Tokyo uses to deny compensation for South Korean victims of World War II-era slavery. The banner reads: "Demonstration for sex slaves for Japanese Army." See story here.

Enough already! The apology/compensation issue has already been settled. Pick something else to protest. Will this continue even after the victims have gone?

When will enough be enough its like the never ending story...

Meh. People like this will never move forward. Even if the Japanese government was to apologize to the victims, no matter what, these people would not be satisfied enough. I bet that if the sex slaves issue was not a thing, they would still be complaining and hating about whatever.

An article about brainwashed South Korean kids.

I wonder if these students also stage rallies demanding full compensation and apology for the wianbu comfort women (sex slaves) who were under the jurisdiction of the South Korean army (韓国軍慰安婦) during and after the Korean War.

Expressing grievances regarding the iianfu under the Japanese army while ignoring the plight of the wianbu under the Korean army casts doubt on the sincerity of their outrage.

HIghly unlikely as they know almost none about Class V Supply. They probably don't have a clue about VIetnam War

The Embassy should hand out Prof. Park Yuha's new book “Comfort Women of the Empire” to each and everyone that are standing outside participating in the demo.

It seems like Koreans have a massive inferiority complex.

As with the Nazis, you can prosecute the criminals if any alive can be found but there is no retribution or compensation from an organization that no longer exists.

Instead of demonstration against Japan who has paid much already in yen and Korean won, they should be at their own capital demonstration against why their own government officials pocked the money that was sent by Japan for this shameful atrocity years ago, but yet on the other hand these women were spoils of war and could be used as fit, for that time and era. If they want money, ask their Korean government to take it from their officials fat bank accounts

High School students? Wow...okay...I guess they learned a lot in the few years of schooling to include math, science, health, etc. I wonder if all of them really want to be there, or really know why they'll are there.

Same way I feel about the Japanese students who make up SEALDs. Do they really know why they're all there?

I think so, and at least the Japanese students are not demanding money and apology but concerned about Japan's future.

Good to see youth standing up for their forebears; I bet their grandparents have a sad story or two to tell of Japanese militarism. You might say they're brain washed, but their perspective is no difference to that of the rest of the world - Japan, love as I do, hasn't done enough/doesn't do enough to show remorse for their horrific and inhumane campaign of war 70 years ago.

What do you expect, pay offs to the descendants ad infinitum?

concerned about Japan's future.

They're concerned with nothing more than rainbows, unicorns and video games. These "Freeters" denounce the security bills. They're a bunch of wimps. They ought to be thankful for the security and freedom the SDF & USAFJ provide.

There have never been 'payoff's' from the J-govt for Comfort Women.

If USAFJ left, they won't be wimps. Try.

Korean culture as Koreans have told me is all about showing who's right and in daily life you rarely apologize for most errors as that is a sign of weakness. Shocking as that is to Japanese and most westerners, Koreans always seem to want an apology yet do not accept them as they seem to just keep asking for them. This means once you have wronged them, your children will be responsible and then their children and so on. Sound familiar? You bet, the Chinese do that as well. It seems that those with a very low shelf esteem and a planet sized chip on their shoulder play to this stereotype. So what are you going to do about it? I'd just ignore the noise and move on.

I'd just ignore the noise and move on.

It's easy to say "ignore" to you. SKoreans ( and North for that matter) don't stop until you are worn out and finally give in to whatever they demand.

For those who seriously wants to have objective view. Watch this video which fortifies Park Yu-ha points and think how hypocritical Korean Government and Chong Dae Hyup are
