Kind of a Batman pose.

You cannot say much from the photos.Besides politics, some of the islam countries have some very courteous bows and gestures and the clothing is very special at official meetings.

The Emperor is explaining to him that you really ain't supposed to wear the hotel yukatas over a suit.

Did the beautifully-robed one promise the Emperor he won't join the Taliban?

I always wondered if his trademark capes are his style or something typical of Afghanis.

Did Karzai bow before the Emperor?

Yeh, the Americans gave this OILMAN (which is why he got the job from Bushieboy) the costume. Before it was three piece suits. He is far, far more Western than Afghan, but we needed a good puppet. Unfortunately, he and his brother are very corrupt and are bad puppets. So we will soon get rid of this here puppet, and put in another one. Like we did with S.Vietnam when we owned that. Moral--getting good help is so hard nowadays. Everyone wants a piece of the pie and then another piece of the pie and then the entire pie and then the pie factory!!!

Incidentally, his signature hat is made of karakul sheep fur and not traditional to his tribe(Pashtun), but to other areas of Afghanistan. His choice set off a fashion fad among other Afghani.

No, your wife can’t have it back, it’s mine now. I’ll fight you for it though. It’s part of Afghan culture, we rob anything we can get our hands on and then fight over keeping it.

I'd lose the suit jacket. I just wonder why the emperor thought he should meet with Karzai.

Batman pose! ha ha! I actually always thought of Karzai as a phoney baloney type of guy putting on some type of "traditional" fashion show who is just some guy who can't believe he is actually in charge.
