From what I see from this, the fans toss the bears as a tribute to Hanyu. Then they get collected to provide joy to kids who are down on their luck.

Looks like a win-win to me. Ain't nothing with that.

I,ve just had a quick count up and I can see about 50 toys, well if it bring lots of smiles and joy to children that have not got a great deal, good luck to him for donating them. I am going to star skating, PS I am a big beer fan, ( no bottles please )

I don't want a bear so much as I want one of the bear collectors.

Educator60 How is it a waste if the donated bears are bringing joy to children in difficult circumstances?

Think about it. If every kid gets a Winnie the Pooh bear, what’s the fun in that? Just how many orphanages are there in Saitama? Then they get flooded with a 1000 Poohsans. Did you ever stop and think it’s just a kind gesture taken over by scummy marketers? Ideally, they should have a giant Pooh and people just drop their money in instead of buying these probably made in China bears furthering environmental pollution and waste for feel good reasons.

Hanyu likes Winnie the Pooh.

Me too. Until I turned 10 and started getting older.

They need a street sweeper, not "volunteers".

Volunteers remove Winnie the Pooh bears

What a waste.
