Tokyo German Village

The Country Farm Tokyo German Village in Sodegaura City, Chiba Prefecture, is lit up with 3 million lights for winter under the theme of "Play and Smile." The garden theme park recreates German rural life. The illumination runs from sunset until 8 p.m. through April 5, 2020. Admission is 500 yen (free for children under four) and 3,000 yen for cars. The village is about 40 minutes from JR Chiba Station by the Capina Highway Express Bus or 20 minutes by taxi from JR Uchibo Line Anegasaki Station or Nagaura Station. If you're going by car, take the Tateyama Expressway and then the Anesaki-Sodegaura IC, Prefectural Route 24 for Kamogawa (5 minutes.)

great place to spend a day with the kids. A bit far away though, the Aqualine is a nightmare in weekends.

If this is in Chiba, why is it called "Tokyo German Village"? "Chiba German Village" sounds more rustic and countrified.

for the same reason why Tokyo Motor Show, which is hold in Chiba, is not called Chiba Motor Show. Tokyo sounds cooler

What a beautiful place is!! I have not been to there yet, so I want to go someday. It is a great place to spend Christmas with my boyfriend. I like to watch illumination for winter season.
